Abstract

1,160,119. Treating gases with liquids. AJEM LABORATORIES Inc. 19 Sept., 1966 [21 Sept., 1965], No. 41786/66. Heading B1R. In an installation for treating gases evolved from a cupola furnace 10 the gases pass downwardly and are sprayed with liquid in a vessel 11 and the partially purified gases pass by a duct 20 to a gas washer 21 before discharge through a stack 25. The duct 20 having a damper 28 whereby when it is desired to isolate the gas washer 21 the gases in the duct 20 can be drawn off by a fan 26 and discharged through a stack 27.
