Abstract

1,060,629. Endotracheal catheters. OSTAP EUSTACHIUS BARAN. Dec. 15, 1964, No. 50976/64. Headings ASR and A5T. An endotracheal catheter or tube comprises a tube K with inflatable cuffs D and E. The cuffs may be secured directly to a recess R in the tube K or they may be secured to a tubular member through which tube K is passed. The outer cuff D is perforated and may be connected to a source of anaesthetic gas by tubes S' and S and the inner cuff may be connected to a source of air by tubes T' and T. Tubes S' and T' lie in the wall of tube K.
