Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de localisation des n roues (1-4) d'un véhicule (V) équipées chacune d'un boîtier électronique (5-8) adapté pour émettre, à destination d'une unité centrale (9), des signaux électromagnétiques représentatifs de paramètres de fonctionnement de chaque roue et un code d'identification de cette dernière. Selon le procédé de l'invention, on dispose, en position fixe sur le véhicule (V), au voisinage d'au moins (n-1) roues (1-4), une radio-étiquette (10-13) dans laquelle est mémorisée un code de localisation, apte à être identifié par l'unité centrale (9) et à permettre à cette dernière de localiser la position de la dite radio-étiquette sur le véhicule (V). De plus, en vue de la localisation des roues, on commande une activation de chaque radio-étiquette (10-13) de façon à délivrer vers l'unité centrale (9) un signal incorporant le code de localisation de cette radio-étiquette (10-13) associé au code d'identification de la roue (1-4) située au voisinage de cette dernière.
