Procédé pour la fixation d'éléments décoratifs (gemmes ou matériau minéral), à effet décoratif et présentant des effets de brillance ou similaire, sur une pièce de maroquinerie, telle qu'une peau, caractérisé par les étapes suivantes : - dépôt sur la peau d'un noyau constitué d'un matériau minéral pulvérulent ou en poudre mélangé à de la colle ; - recouvrement dudit noyau par un matériau en poudre ou en paillettes, lié par de la colle. On crée une cavité dans l'épaisseur de ladite peau, et on met en place un noyau dans la cavité, qui a une profondeur comprise entre 10 % et 80 de l'épaisseur et de préférence entre 40 et 60 % de l'épaisseur.
