Abstract
Apparatus for the deposition of zinc or zinc alloys comprises: (a) a tank (14) subdivided by a separator, made of a open porous material, into cathodic and anodic compartments; (b) the component (18) is immersed in a aqueous electrolyte (16), with an alkaline pH, contained in the cathodic compartment and containing some zinc ions, and possibly some ions of a metal other than zinc,; (c) an aqueous electrolyte, with an alkaline pH, contained in the anodic compartment and surrounding an anode of an insoluble metal.
