Abstract

Description

The present invention essentially relates to a gas burner

  perfect for a cooker, a

hob or the like.

  Gas cooktops and stoves are most often equipped with a plurality of gas burners which, in general, include a head provided with gas outlet ports and adaptable on a support

  The burner according to this invention is further characterized in that the second disc-shaped part constituting the cap has a central part of diameter larger than that of the support, of the crown,

  and the first disc-shaped piece with battlements.

  Thus, the flames leaving the burner substantially horizontally and normally going beyond the outline of the cap, will not directly heat the container for a relatively reduced gas flow, which can be particularly advantageous for cooking certain foods. But other advantages and characteristics of

  With particular reference to FIG. 1, it can be seen that a gas burner according to this invention essentially comprises a hollow and through-piece 2 forming a support for a head 1 constituted by three superimposable and removable elements, namely a crown 3 resting on the support 2, a first disc-shaped part 4 resting on the crown 3, and a second disc-shaped part 5 constituting a resting cap

  on the first disc-shaped part 4.

  The hollow piece forming a support 2 can be mounted in any suitable manner on a hob T or the tray of a cooker (not shown) and has a central well 6 forming a secondary air supply duct This central well 6 defines with the annular wall 7 of the support 2 an annular chamber 8 supplied with the primary gas-air mixture by an appropriate pipe 9 opening into said chamber, and which can be seen better on

  The ring 11 of the crown 3 also has on its external periphery small stops 15 in an appropriate number and distributed in an appropriate manner for example along two diameters of the ring 11 as can be seen in FIG. 1 These small stops 15 allow, when the crown 3 is fitted into the shoulder 10 of the support 2, to maintain a small radial spacing between the ring 11 and the part 1 Oa of the shoulder 10 Thus, when the crown 3 is fitted into the shoulder 10 of the support 2, the annular spacing 13 allowing the exit of a pilot flame is guaranteed thanks to the height of the ring 11 of the crown 3 and to the small radial stops 15 provided on the external surface

of this ring.

  The first disc-shaped part 4 rests at its periphery on the flange 12 of the crown 3, and comprises a central sleeve 16 which, when the crown 3 is fitted into the shoulder 10 of the support 2, is fitted into the well central 6 of the support 2, which central well has at one of its ends a shoulder 6 a in

which abuts the sleeve 16.

  In the vicinity of the periphery of the first disc-shaped part 4, and on its lower face, a multiplicity of slots 17 of substantially trapezoidal shape is provided, that is to say more precisely slots defined each by two blanks 17 a of trapezoidal shape, as can be clearly seen in FIGS. 2 and 3 These slots 17 delimited by the blanks 17a of trapezoidal shape and bearing on the flange 12 of the crown 3, form with said flange outlet openings for the mixture primary gas-air which are such that the flames will develop in a plane substantially

  horizontal, from said orifices.

  The second disc-shaped part constituting the cap 5 rests on the first part described above in the form of a disc 4, and this is spaced apart from this part. To this end, the cap 5 has stops on its lower face. 18 forming spacers

R E V E N D I C A T I O N S   1 Improved gas burner for stove, hob or the like and of the type comprising a head (1) provided with gas outlet orifices and adaptable on a support (2) comprising gas supply means in particular, characterized in that the support (2) is a hollow and emerging part comprising a central well (6) forming a secondary air supply duct and delimiting with the wall (7) of the hollow part an annular chamber (8) supplied with mixture primary gas-air, while the head (1) consists of three superimposed and removable elements comprising a crown (3) resting on the support (2) while leaving between it and this support an annular space (13) communicating with said annular chamber (8) to allow the exit of a pilot flame, a first disc-shaped part (4) resting on the crown (3) to form said gas outlet orifices and comprising a central sleeve (16) which can be plugged in on the said central well (6), and a second disc-shaped part constituting a cap (5) resting in a spaced manner on said first disc-shaped part (4) and comprising a centering pin (19) penetrating into the central sleeve (16) of the first disc-shaped part (4) and in the central well (6) of the support (2) so as to allow passage for air secondary under said hat.   2 burner according to claim 1, characterized in that the cap (5) has on its underside stops (18) bearing on the first disc-shaped part (4) and, on its periphery, arms (20 ) giving it a star shape or the like to allow the hat (5) to directly and stably support a any container.   3 Burner according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the first disc-shaped part (4) carries on its underside and in the vicinity of its periphery a succession of slots (17) of substantially trapezoidal shape which bear on the abovementioned crown (3) to form gas outlet orifices allowing a substantially horizontal development of flame.   4 burner according to one of claims 1 to 3,   characterized in that the aforesaid slots (17) bear on a flange (12) of the aforementioned crown (3) which, in the position of support of this crown on the support (2) leaves an annular space (13) between this support and said flange.   5 Burner according to one of claims   above, characterized in that the crown (3) has on its edge (lia) resting on the support (2) small recesses (14) forming with this support orifices for the outlet of the primary gas-air mixture, and on its periphery external of small stops (15) for maintaining a radial annular spacing between crown (3) and support (2).   6 Burner according to one of claims 1 to 5,   characterized in that the aforementioned crown (3) is fitted into an annular shoulder (10) formed in the upper part and emerging from the hollow part or aforementioned support (2).   7 Burner according to one of claims   previous, characterized in that the second disc-shaped part constituting the cap (5) has a central part (5 a) of larger diameter than that of the support (2), the crown (3), and the first room   disc-shaped (4) with slots.
