Abstract

The slidably adjustable mounting is for use with a hand-manipulated shower in e.g. a domestic bathroom. The assembly comprises a two-piece (1, 2) hollow cylindrical slide on an axially perpendicular circular hollow section post (5). The slide comprises a retaining piece (1) and a locking piece (2) rotated to clamp or liberate the slide relative to the post. The retaining piece is of a cup form with diametrically opposed holes (6, 7) traversed by the post. The locking piece step-reduces in dia. to form a spigot (24) which enters the open end (3) of the retaining piece. A circumferential spring clipping tongue and groove joint (28) maintains axial lock whilst permitting relative rotation.
