Abstract

The nozzle is of olivary form and fits on the end of the delivery tube from the container. The outlet of the delivery tube communicates with a main passage extending right through the nozzle and coinciding with its longitudinal axis. Near the middle of the nozzle a branch passage diverges from the main passage, pref. at about 45 deg. When the nozzle is inserted coaxially into a nostril the branch passage outlet is directed towards the face sinuses. The nozzle is pref. made of smooth stainless steel or inert plastic.

Embout pour pulvérisation nasale physiologique de médicaments, caractérisé en ce qu'il se fixe ou est placé à l'extrémité de l'embout de pulvérisation du pulvérisateur, en ce qu'il présente une forme olivaire non traumatisante, adaptée à la pulvérisation nasale, et en ce qu'il comporte a) un premier canal de pulvérisation disposé selon son axe longitudinal, dans le prolongement du canal de pulvérisation de l'embout du pulvérisateur et b) un second canal de pulvérisation se raccordant audit premier canal sensiblement vers le milieu de celuici, selon un angle tel que, lorsque le premier canal est parallèle au plancher de la fosse nasale, dans ladite fosse, le second canal vise le meat moyen, lieu d'abouchement des sinus de la face, dont le repère de visée cutané est l'angle interne de l'oeil.1.
