Abstract

The furnace for incinerating rubbish has an inclined revolving combustion chamber (1). The chamber has a conical shape. The discharge (4) connects to a fixed flue (9) with a sloping inlet (5). The furnace is fed from an inlet chute (7) which supplies the material for combustion. The inlet (5) has a restriction (11) to act as a venturi for the gas flow. The feed chute is fitted with an inlet feeder having a hydraulic ram to feed the furnace. The inlet and outlet flues (4, 5) are located side-by-side. The inlet has a semi-circular cross-section and the outlet has a rectangular one.
