Abstract
The solar energy receiver is fitted into the roof of a building and comprises two plates and a circulating system containing the fluid to be heated. The components are manufactured together which assures maximum heat transfer from the plates to the fluid being circulated in the pipework is located between the upper solar receiver plate and the tower building structural plate. Each receiver section has lateral webs for rigidity and a coupling device for joining one roof section onto another. The pipework is attached using sleeves with circular joints for ensuring a watertight connection.
