Abstract

Smoke tar solubiliser consists of an aq. alkaline solvent-contg. tenside soln., which contains an ampholyte as tenside, a caustic alkali as alkali-reacting material and an opt. esterified glycol ether or an alkyl acetate as solvent. Wt. ratio ampholyte:solvent:caustic alkali is pref. 1:1:4 to 1:3:8, esp. 1:2:6. Total content of non-aq. components is pref. 5-10 wt.%. Used for cleaning fumigation- or curing chambers. Solubiliser acts quickly, esp. when used in low concns.
