Abstract

The floating lifting equipment is for use with a vessel or an offshore structure, and has holders (4) securing it to the vessel or structure at the top of a column (21) equipped with a buoyancy tank (6). At the lower end of the column is a balancing unit (10-12) holding it in equilibrium against the action of wind and waves. There is a working platform (8) on the same side of the column as the holders, and which can be moved up and down the column. There can be a movable flat seabed weight (11) at the column base, adjustable to the desired angle.
