Abstract

The plant pot (1) of standard type with a central hole (3) in the base stands in a shallow basin (2) on ribs which permit flow of water to hole (3). An annular reservoir surrounds the pot and has a discharge orifice (9) through which water passes to basin (2). A tube (10) in the orifice (9) has an opening (12) which can be put in register with opening (13) in the bottom of the reservoir. The top of the tube is sealed by a funnel (11) having an opening (14) which can be put in register with an opening (15) in the top of the reservoir. With openings (12, 13) in register and (14, 15) out of register, when the level in the basin drops below orifice (9) air can enter the reservoir so allowing re-filling of the basin. The reservoir is filled through the funnel on turning the tube to place holes (14, 15) in the register.
