Abstract

L'invention concerne les électrodes bipolaires. Elle comprend un élément servant d'anode relié à un élément d'écartement 6, un élément servant de cathode relié à un élément d'écartement 8, une paroi de séparation 16 entre l'anode et la cathode constituée d'une feuille métallique côté anode 2 et d'une feuille métallique côté cathode 3, et un élément composite 12 formé d'une partie côté anode 13, d'une partie cathode 15, d'une couche intermédiaire 14 et de goupilles 20 en forme de rivets à têtes fraisées qui sont encastrées dans la partie intermédiaire. L'anode, la cathode, la feuille 2, la feuille 3, la partie 13, la partie 15 et la couche 14 sont respectivement faites en titane, en acier doux, en titane, en acier doux, en titane, en acier doux et en cuivre. L'électrode de l'invention s'applique notamment à la production de chlorates de métaux alcalins.
