Abstract

L'invention décrit une électrode perfectionnée et une cellule comportant de telles électrodes L'électrode comprend un groupe d'éléments métalliques allongés, par exemple des fils ou des tiges, montés de façon à conduire l'électricité sur au moins une surface d'une feuille métallique d'où ces éléments font saillie (et éventuellement sur les deux surfaces de la feuille), de sorte qu'une partie des éléments se situent dans un plan latéralement espacé de la feuille et sensiblement parallèle à la surface de cette feuille. Les éléments montés sur une surface et éventuellement sur les deux surfaces sont souples. Ces électrodes peuvent servir dans une cellule monopolaire, du type filtre-presse, pour l'électrolyse de solutions aqueuses d'halogénures alcalins.
