Abstract

The appts. sorts particles of crushed cork and removes the waste. It comprises an enclosed chamber (1) connected at the rear (14) to a suction fan. Air is drawn in through a front opening (11) and passes over three baffles (4, 5, 6) positioned vertically one above the other and adjustable (4a, 5a, 6a) for angle. Unsorted cork falls from a hopper (2) onto a fixed baffle (3) and passes over the adjustable baffles. The air flow carries the lightest cork particles (12) into the suction duct for collection, the remainder passing behind the baffles and directed by other baffles into a lower outlet (10). The waste (17) falls separately into another lower outlet (9).
