Abstract

a. L'invention est relative à un élément bipolaire pour un électrolyseur du type série. b. L'élément bipolaire comprend une enceinte délimitant une chambre anodique contenant une anode et une enceinte délimitant une chambre cathodique contenant une cathode reliée électriquement à l'anode. L'enceinte d'au moins une des deux chambres comprend une feuille déformable en forme de cloche, qui est supportée avec l'électrode de ladite chambre, sur un châssis fixe, extérieur à ladite chambre. c. L'invention s'applique à un élément bipolaire pour un électrolyseur du type série convenant pour la production de chlore par électrolyse d'une saumure de chlorure de sodium.
