Abstract

The plant is mounted on a wheeled chassis and provided with stabilising legs to lift it from its wheels when positioned. The plant comprises in series combination coupled by transfer devices, a feed conveyor, a drying drum supplied with hot gas from a burner, an expansion chamber in which dried prod. is sepd. from the hot gas, a prod. press and a prod. cooler, driven via a common transmission from a single motor. The feed conveyor pref. comprises an elevator belt spreading the raw material into a screw conveyor which feeds the drying drum. The burner pref. comprises a combustion chamber to which air is ducted from an external fan. An adjustable throat is pref. used to connect the combustion chamber to the drying drum. The rotary drying drum pref. comprises >=3 concentric tubes fitted with lifting paddles. The expansion chamber pref. comprises a cyclone with rotary valve solid outlet. The plant is mobile, requires no special foundation and can be ready for operation with little or no delay after arrival on site.
