Abstract

A hopper (1) feeds into a circular chamber (2) equipped with a revolving drum (8). This is in two parts and mounted coaxially, each capable of being rotated separately. The first part has a length several times that of the second and is provided with large cutout sections (10, 11, 12). The second part has a nnumber of smaller cutouts. Dimensions of both depend on the product, which is deposited in bulk in the hopper. The first drum rotates, picking up the main quantity and depositing it in a chute (3). This quantity is weighed and adjustments made by rotating the second drum which delivers smaller quantities.
