Abstract
Oxazoline derivs. of formula (I) are new: (where R1 and R2 are H or OH; A is lower alkyl (pref. 1-4C) or a phenyl gp. opt. mono-, di- or tri- substd. by halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy and/or OH). Cpds. (I) have broncholytic and hypertensive activity, e.g., (I;R1 = 4-OH; R2 = H; A = 2-ClC6H4) increases arterial blood pressure in narcotised dogs (ED50 = 0.8 mg./kg., i.v.) and has an LD50 (i.v., rat) of 19 mg./kg.
