Abstract
Shallow tray for fruit is folded from a flat cut-out sheet of double thickness corrugated cardboard. The bottom of the box 11) has longitudinal side pieces attached (13), with extension flaps (16). The transverse sides (15) have end pieces (25, 27), the parts being outlined by fold lines (12, 14, 26). To assemble the box, the sides (13) are folded upwards and the flaps (16) inwards. The lugs (18) are folded to the horizontal position. The ends are then folded up, the end extensions are folded over and under the lugs, and held in plane by being located between the lug (18) and the top of the flaps (16). Cut-out parts (38, 40) serve as stabilisers when stacking the assembled boxes.
