Abstract
473,322. Boxes. NEWSON, K. K. March 9, 1936, No. 1444/37. Convention date, March 8, 1935. Divided out of 471,859. [Class 18] In a collapsable box having flaps 26, 27, extending from the sides 19 and ends 21, the side flaps 26 being foldable towards each other to form a closure wall for the box, spaced cushions are provided by folding portions of the end flaps flat upon themselves to afford an air space between such boxes when stacked. The blank 16 is folded into a tube, the flaps 26 are folded down, and lastly the flaps 27, folded upon themselves along creases 28, are folded down on the flaps 26. In a modification, the flaps 27 are separated from the flaps 26 by creases only, and are folded on themselves into a triangular shape prior to folding down upon the flaps 26. A cover for the box consists of a blank identical with 16 but having no creases 28.
