Abstract

A compsn. contg. 20-45 vol. % acetone and 55-80 wt.% liquid soap is mixed with tetrachloroethylene in the drum of the dry cleaner. Pref. the compsn. also contains 5-15 vol. % ammonia and 5-15 vol. % oxygenated water. Using this compsn, it is not necessary to remove dust or stains from the textile articles or to soak them in water, both of which are necessary if tetrachloroethylene above is used.
