Abstract

The present invention relates to a boiler with fluidised bed and of the internal recirculation type, comprising: a primary combustion chamber with fluidised bed and constructed from an air diffusion plate and an inclined intermediate wall, which is arranged above that section of the diffusion plate, in which the mass flow of the air injected from the diffusion plate is greater than what is the case from the second section to merge with the upward flowing fluidisation air, which is injected from this part, and to divert the flow towards the action above the diffusion plate, in which the mass flow of injected gas is less; and a thermal energy recovery chamber, which is formed between the inclined intermediate wall and the side wall of the combustion furnace; the inclined intermediate wall being inclined at 10 to 60 degrees in relation to the horizontal plane and arranged so that its projection in the horizontal direction is 1/6 - 1/2 of the horizontal length of the bottom of the combustion furnace, and a method for controlling the abovementioned fluidised bed boiler in respect of the amount of thermal energy utilised from the thermal energy recovery chamber, by regulating the quantity of injected air from the diffuser in the thermal energy extraction chamber on the basis of requirements from the consumer utilising the thermal energy extracted, the quantity of fuel fed into the primary fluidised bed combustion chamber being controlled on the basis of the temperature in the primary fluidised bed combustion chamber. <IMAGE>
