Keksinnön mukaisesti järjestetään anionista mikrofibrilloitua selluloosaa sisältävää koostumusta kuitususpensioon ja lisätään 0,1 – 10 p-% mikrofibrilloitua selluloosaa kuitususpension massasta ja korvataan ainakin osa retentiokemikaaleista ja/tai lujuuskemikaaleista anionista mikrofibrilloitua selluloosaa sisältävällä koostumuksella ja korvataan mikropartikkelikomponentti anionista mikrofibrilloitua selluloosaa sisältävällä koostumuksella muodostettavan tuotteen lujuuden ja retention parantamiseksi.
