Abstract
Keksintö koskee kuituoptista komponenttia, erityisesti kuituyhdistintä, ja menetelmää sen valmistamiseksi. Komponentti käsittää kotelon (25), vähintään yhden ensimmäisen optisen elementin (21), joka kykenee ohjaamaan valoa ja jolla on ulostulopää, siten, että ensimmäinen optinen elementti (21) on kiinnitetty mainittuun koteloon (25) asennusalueelta (26A), ja vähintään yhden toisen optisen elementin (22, 23), joka on optisesti kytketty ensimmäiseen optiseen elementtiin (21) kytkentäalueelta (27) vastaanottamaan valoa ensimmäisen optisen elementin (21) ulostulopäästä. Keksinnön mukaan komponentti käsittää vähintään yhden alueen (29) valoa sirottavaa materiaalia järjestettynä ensimmäisen optisen elementin (21) läheisyyteen alueelle kytkentäalueen (27) ja asennusalueen (26A) välissä. Keksinnön keinoilla voidaan lievittää potentiaalisesti haitallisen vastakkaissuuntaisen säteilyn vaikutusta kuituoptisissa komponenteissa.
