CONSISTE EN LAVAR LA CORRIENTE GASEOSA CON UNA DISOLUCION ACUOSA DE DIOXIDO DE AZUFRE, QUE CONTIENE UN TAMPON QUE LO MANTIENE A PH INFERIOR A 5, A PRESION SUPERIOR A LA ATMOSFERICA; LAVAR CON UN ABSORBENTE Y DESORBER EL SULFURO DE HIDROGENO DE ESTE ABSORBENTE; OXIDAR LA CORRIENTE DE SULFURO DE HIDROGENO RESULTANTE DE LA ANTERIOR DESORCION PARA FORMAR DIOXIDO DE AZUFRE, QUE SE DISUELVE EN UN MEDIO ACUOSO Y SE RECICLA A LA PRIMERA ETAPA. TIENE APLICACIONES PARA LA ELIMINACION DE SULFURO DE HIDROGENO DE CORRIENTES GASEOSAS RESULTANTES DE PROCESOS DE CONVERSION O REFINO ORGANICOS, ANTES DE SU UTILIZACION.
