Abstract
Insecticidal benzamides of formula: < IMAGE > wherein R represents < IMAGE > X represents oxygen or sulfur one of R<1> or R<2> represents hydrogen and the other represents fluoro, chloro, bromo, trifluoromethyl or methoxy one of R<3> and R<4> represents hydrogen and the other represents methoxy or trifluoromethyl one of R<5> and R<6> represents hydrogen and the other represents chloro, bromo, fluoro, trifluoromethyl or hydrogen one of R<7> and R<8> represents hydrogen and the other represents C1-C2 alkoxy substituted with one or more fluorine atoms.
