Abstract
Una planta resistente a uno o más herbicidas inhibidores de PPX, comprendiendo dicha planta un gen de protoporfirinógeno IX oxidasa (PPX) mutado, en la que dicho gen codifica una proteína que comprende una sustitución en la posición de aminoácido correspondiente a la posición 144 de la SEQ ID NO: 1, y una sustitución en la posición de aminoácido correspondiente a la posición 220 de la SEQ ID NO: 1, en la que la sustitución en la posición de aminoácido correspondiente a la posición 144 de la SEQ ID NO: 1 es una sustitución de arginina por cisteína o leucina o histidina; y en la que la sustitución en la posición de aminoácido correspondiente a la posición 220 de la SEQ ID NO: 1 es una sustitución de alanina por treonina, en la que la planta no se obtiene exclusivamente mediante un procedimiento esencialmente biológico.
