Abstract

The invention relates to a method and device for the treatment and classification of a granular material. The invention comprises operating means which are used to perform a first process in which the raw granular material is washed with jets of water while, at the same time, said material is being broken into smaller grains by means of centrifugation, in order to form a paste of comminuted granular material and water. Said paste and water is then passed through a second rinsing process, using jets of water, and the mass is separated, by means of screening, into different sized grains that are graded through different outlets and the waste water is removed.
