Abstract

La presente invención se refiere al procedimiento para la preparación de L-carnitina expresada por la fórmula (1), que es útil en producción industrial debido al hecho de que cada reacción en fase de solución acuosa se realiza continuamente en el reactor sin proceso de purificación separado. Más particularmente esta reacción se refiere a éstos procedimientos, en los que se utiliza hidroxibutirolactona- (S)-3- activada como materia prima para realizar las siguientes reacciones químicas bajo condiciones específicas: una reacción de apertura de anillo, epoxidación en el centro quiral que es inversamente convertido, y una sustitución nucleofílica de dimetilamina.
