Abstract

La invención se refiere a un cartón revestido, a un procedimiento para su fabricación, y a unos recipientes y envases formados a partir de él. El cartón comprende al menos un revestimiento con base polímero que impide la transmisión de líquidos y gases, revestimiento que está, según la invención, hecho de una dispersión de polímeros a la que se añaden partículas de talco, de manera que el talco constituirá del 30-80% del peso en seco del revestimiento secado. El revestimiento se aplica sobre el cartón durante su fabricación como revestimiento en línea. El cartón puede ser, por ejemplo, un cartón multicapa (2) que tiene una capa media (6) que contiene CTMP u otra pasta mecánica similar, sobre sus capas exteriores (7) por ambos lados formada a partir de pasta de sulfato, contra estas sobre ambos lados del cartón (2) capas de barrera (3) polímeras que contienen talco, y sobre un lado del cartón una capa de termosellado (9) introducida sobre la capa de barrera (3). Las capas de barrera (3) dejan el cartón impermeable al agua, al vapor de agua, al oxígeno y a la materia grasa. El cartón es adecuado para uso en envases para alimentos y otros envases para productos que requieran ser impermeables, y en recipientes desechables hechos de cartón.
