Abstract

A tilting ironing board has an ironing plate, which is supported by intersecting legs and has a blunt and a pointed end. The blunt end takes the form of a shoulder curve (9), which joins a straight front side (7) that runs across whole of the board length to a rear side (11) which runs in parallel to the front side (7) and amounts to at least 50% of the length of the front side (7). The rear side (1) changes over into the pointed end (14) via a wide curve. The support for the iron can be placed at any required point on the board.
