Abstract

Procedure for recycling steel-plant dust and the product obtained with this procedure, in which steel-plant dust with the composition: iron oxides 20%-50%, zinc oxide 10%-45%, in particles measuring less than 150[mu] mix in a homogenisation mixer with a carbon-based reducing compound at 12%-20% weight in particles measuring less than 200[mu] and an organic binding agent at 1.5%-4% weight once blended the mixture is pressed until a density of between 2 and 3.3 gr/cm<3> is obtained and it then undergoes curing.Applicable to steel metallurgy.< IMAGE >Powder containing 20-50 per cent iron oxide and 10-45 pere cent zinc oxide in particles of a size less than 150 micrometres is recycled by being mixed in a homogenization mixer with a carbon-based reducing agent of 12-20 per cent by weight in particles of a size less than 200 micrometres and with an organic agglomerant of 1.5-4 per cent by weight. - Once homogenized, the mixture is pressed to obtain a density of between 2 and 3.3 gr/cm2, after which it is hardened.
