Abstract

The boiler-storage heater unit consists of a lower water-bearing housing (1) which contains the firing and on which a likewise water- bearing surrounding housing (2) is arranged, which contains the vertically oriented storage container (4). The storage container (4) is provided with hot water outlet and cold water inlet pipes (11, 11') and the water-bearing inner spaces of the two housings (1, 2) are interconnected by overflow connection pieces (5, 7). According to the invention, one overflow connection piece between the two housings (1, 2) is designed as a front upward flow connection piece (5), which is arranged over the burner side (1) of the lower housing (1) and directed towards the gap (3) between storage container (4) and its surrounding housing (2), and the other overflow connection piece is designed as a downward flow connection piece (7) directed towards the rear half (6') of the bottom of the storage container (4). The cold water inlet pipe (11) of the storage container (4) is guided out of the bottom (12) of the housing (2) at the bottom into the intermediate space (13) between the two housings (1, 2). <IMAGE>
