MEDIANTE LA ADICION GRADUAL DE UN AGENTE DE ACIDIFICACION, EL LIGADOR ES COACERVADO Y PRECIPITADO EN EL PIGMENTO. UNA CARACTERISTICA DE LA INVENCION ES EL HECHO DE QUE LA CANTIDAD DE AGENTE DE ACIDIFICACION ESTA LIMITADO A UN NIVEL EN EL CUAL EL PIGMENTO RETIENE SU CARGA DE SUPERFICIE NEGATIVA, Y EL COACERVATO AUN RETIENE AGUA. UTILIZANDO PIGMENTOS TRATADOS DE ESTA MANERA, SE PUEDE FABRICAR UN PAPEL DE IMPRESION CON UN ELEVADO CONTENIDO DE PIGMENTO Y/O UNA ELEVADA RESISTENCIA AL DESGARRO.
