Abstract

The motor vehicle door is provided with a lock which can be actuated by an outside lever (22) or by means of an inside lever which is connected to the actuating lever (62). These levers (22,62) act on a third lever (61) which moves the lock bolt in or out of its locking position. The third lever (61) is held in the locking position by a bolt (52) actuated by an electro-magnet (8). The third lever (61) has an attached pin (43) which abuts against the end of the fourth lever (41) and so prevents the opening of the lock. The fourth lever (41) forms part of a delay mechanism which prevents the opening of the lock until the locking element (31) is fully disengaged from its locking position and so forms an anti-theft device.
