Claims (8)

  1. Person-counting device
    - for a lift having a lift car having an entrance,
    - for determining that a person has entered or exited a lift car,
    - having a presence sensor,
    - able to be installed at the entrance of the lift car,
    - for detecting the presence of a person in the region of the entrance or the passage of a person through the entrance and
    - for outputting a detection signal in the event of presence or passage,
    - having an accelerometer,
    - able to be installed on the lift car,
    - for detecting the vertical acceleration of the lift car and
    - for outputting positive and negative acceleration values in relation to the upwards direction of movement of the lift car, and
    - having an evaluation device,
    - characterized in that the evaluation unit is designed,
    - upon reception of the detection signal, to receive a sequence of current acceleration values for a specific duration and
    - to analyse whether one of the acceleration values or the movement profile resulting therefrom exceeds an upper threshold value (23) or falls below a lower threshold value (21) and
    - to output or to process a signal indicating that a person has entered the lift car when the lower threshold value (21) has been fallen below and
    - to output or to process a signal indicating that a person has exited the lift car when the upper threshold value (23) has been exceeded.
  2. Person-counting device according to Claim 1, characterized in that
    - the evaluation device is designed
    - to sum the signals indicating entering to form a value and
    - to subtract the signals indicating exiting from the value and
    - to output the value for the number of people in the lift car
    - and in particular to set the value to zero following a specific duration of stopping without a signal.
  3. Person-counting device according to either of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    - the specified duration is between 0.05 and 1 second, in particular between 0.1 and 0.5 seconds, in particular between 0.2 and 0.3 seconds.
  4. Person-counting device according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    - the upper threshold value (23) is between 0.001 g and 0.003 g in the case of an acceleration or between 0.01 mm and 0.05 mm in the case of a rise,
    - and/or the lower threshold value (21) is between -0.001 g and -0.003 g in the case of an acceleration or between -0.01 mm and -0.05 mm in the case of a drop.
  5. Person-counting device according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    - the acceleration sensor is attached to the presence sensor and
    - the presence sensor and the acceleration sensor in particular have the same carrier and in particular have the same housing
    - and the evaluation device is in particular integrated in the presence sensor.
  6. Person-counting device according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    - the presence sensor is a light grid or a light barrier.
  7. Person-counting device according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    - the evaluation device has a wireless radio transmission device.
  8. Lift,
    - having a lift car
    - having an entrance,
    characterized in that
    - the lift has a person-counting device and an accelerometer according to one of the preceding claims,
    - wherein the person-counting device is installed at the entrance of the lift car and
    - wherein the accelerometer is installed on the lift car.
