Definitions
- the present invention describes a composition for textile cleaning and care as well as its use and method using such a composition.
- the invention describes a composition which, in addition to other components, contains unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acids and unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohols.
- the mechanical cleaning of textile fabrics is usually not only used to remove dirt and stains but also to care for the textile.
- the care of textiles includes areas as diverse as scenting, dyeing or finishing. Another aspect of textile care concerns the influence on the perceived surface softness of the textile, which is supposed to be improved by softening active ingredients in the machine washing process.
- Fabric softeners are usually added to the washing liquor in the last rinse cycle of machine washing in order to prevent the "dry stiffness" effect that occurs when laundry dries.
- the dry rigidity is caused by the formation of hydrogen bonds between the cellulose fibers.
- the softening active ingredients lie on the surface of the fibers and thus weaken the interactions between the fibers. Due to the reduced stiffness of the item of laundry, the effort required when ironing is reduced and the wearing comfort is increased.
- the group of softening active ingredients includes in particular synthetic compounds from the groups of esterquat, cationic polymers and silicones.
- German patent specification DE 197 14 044 C1 discloses fabric softener compositions based on a combination of esterquats and silicones.
- the international patent application WO 2019/070838 A1 describes aqueous fabric softener compositions which contain a combination of a cationic polymer and a saturated fatty acid.
- the compositions may include unsaturated fatty acids as an optional additive.
- Other fabric softener compositions are available US 2006/122087 A1 , US 2016/289602 A1 , US 7,718,596 B2 , US 6,897,194 B2 and EP 3 181 667 A1 known.
- EP 2 997 959 A1 describes a cosmetic formulation which, in addition to an esterquat, can also contain unsaturated fatty alcohols.
- the textile treatment agent should be able to be formulated and used as a liquid, for example as a highly concentrated liquid, in particular as a surfactant-rich and low-water formulation Incorporation into water-soluble packaged dosage units (detergent sachets) may be suitable.
- the textile treatment agent should be able to be formulated as an independent fabric softener as well as as a component of a full-fledged textile detergent or a textile treatment additive, for example a fragrance composition or a dye.
- the textile treatment agents should be metered into the washing liquor at the beginning of a washing process.
- This task was solved by combining specific unsaturated fatty acids and fatty alcohols in a surfactant-organic carrier.
- the composition according to the invention comprises, as further essential components, at least one unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohol and at least one unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acid.

Description
The present invention describes a composition for textile cleaning and care as well as its use and method using such a composition. In particular, the invention describes a composition which, in addition to other components, contains unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acids and unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohols.
The mechanical cleaning of textile fabrics is usually not only used to remove dirt and stains but also to care for the textile. The care of textiles includes areas as diverse as scenting, dyeing or finishing. Another aspect of textile care concerns the influence on the perceived surface softness of the textile, which is supposed to be improved by softening active ingredients in the machine washing process.
Fabric softeners are usually added to the washing liquor in the last rinse cycle of machine washing in order to prevent the "dry stiffness" effect that occurs when laundry dries. The dry rigidity is caused by the formation of hydrogen bonds between the cellulose fibers. The softening active ingredients lie on the surface of the fibers and thus weaken the interactions between the fibers. Due to the reduced stiffness of the item of laundry, the effort required when ironing is reduced and the wearing comfort is increased.
The group of softening active ingredients includes in particular synthetic compounds from the groups of esterquat, cationic polymers and silicones.

Against this technical background, the task was to provide a textile treatment agent which, based on natural raw materials, achieves a fabric softening effect that is noticeable to the consumer while largely avoiding synthetic active ingredients. The textile treatment agent should be able to be formulated and used as a liquid, for example as a highly concentrated liquid, in particular as a surfactant-rich and low-water formulation Incorporation into water-soluble packaged dosage units (detergent sachets) may be suitable. The textile treatment agent should be able to be formulated as an independent fabric softener as well as as a component of a full-fledged textile detergent or a textile treatment additive, for example a fragrance composition or a dye. Finally, unlike conventional fabric softeners, which are introduced into the washing liquor towards the end of the washing process, the textile treatment agents should be metered into the washing liquor at the beginning of a washing process.
This task was solved by combining specific unsaturated fatty acids and fatty alcohols in a surfactant-organic carrier.
- a) mindestens eine ungesättigte C18-C24 Fettsäure;
- b) mindestens ein ungesättigter C20-C24 Fettalkohol;
- a) at least one unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acid;
- b) at least one unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohol;
- c) 5 to 80% by weight of surfactant and/or organic solvent.
In addition to a carrier based on surfactant and/or organic solvents, the composition according to the invention comprises, as further essential components, at least one unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohol and at least one unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acid.
The compositions can contain a single unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acid or a mixture of different unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acids.
For the technical effect of the composition, in particular its fabric softening effect, it has proven to be advantageous if the proportion by weight of the unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acid in the total weight of the composition is 0.01 to 12% by weight, preferably 0.01 to 8% by weight .-% and in particular 0.01 to 4% by weight.
Besonders bevorzugte ungesättigte C18-C24 Fettsäure sind ausgewählt aus der Gruppe α-Linolensäure, Stearidonsäure, Eicosapentaensäure, Docosahexaensäure, Linolsäure, Palmitoleinsäure, Vaccensäure, Ölsäure, Elaidinsäure, Gondosäure ((11Z)-11-Eicosensäure), Gadoleinsäure ((9Z)-9-Eicosensäure), Erucasäure und Nervonsäure.Particularly preferred unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acids are selected from the group α-linolenic acid, stearidonic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid, docosahexaenoic acid, linoleic acid, palmitoleic acid, vaccenoic acid, oleic acid, elaidic acid, gondoic acid ((11Z)-11-eicosenoic acid), gadoleic acid ((9Z) -9-eicosenoic acid), erucic acid and nervonic acid.
The monounsaturated fatty acids have proven to be technically particularly effective C 18 -C 24 fatty acids, with the ω-9 fatty acids being particularly preferred. Compositions which are particularly preferred due to their fabric softening effect are therefore characterized in that the unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acid is selected from the group of ω-9 fatty acids, in particular from the group of oleic acid, gondoic acid and erucic acid, most preferably from the group of gondoic acid.
Again, the compositions can contain a single unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohol or a mixture of different unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohols.
Der Gewichtsanteil des ungesättigten C20-C24 Fettalkohol am Gesamtgewicht der Zusammensetzung beträgt vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 12 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 8 Gew.-% und insbesondere 0,01 bis 4 Gew.-%.The proportion by weight of the unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohol in the total weight of the composition is preferably 0.01 to 12% by weight, preferably 0.01 to 8% by weight and in particular 0.01 to 4% by weight.
With regard to their fabric softening effect, the use of unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohols is particularly preferred, selected from the group of monounsaturated fatty alcohols. In addition to the previously described unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acids and unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohols, the compositions can also contain their esters. The content of the compositions in corresponding esters is due less to the desired fabric softening effect than to the origin of the unsaturated C 18 -C 24 fatty acids and unsaturated C 20 -C 24 fatty alcohols essential to the invention from sustainable sources.
The compositions contain 5 to 80% by weight of surfactant and/or organic solvent as a further essential component. It is particularly preferred if the composition contains surfactant and organic solvent.
The proportion by weight of the surfactant in the total weight of the composition is preferably 5 to 60% by weight, particularly preferably 10 to 50% by weight and in particular 25 to 50% by weight.
