Description

According to the preamble of claim 1, the invention relates to a black-out venetian blind with a plurality of slats whose inclination can be pivoted between an open and a closed position, wherein lifting belts connected to a bottom rail are guided through openings in the slats for gathering the slat curtain and the openings are formed in web-like areas of the slats which are arranged at an angle to the planes of extension of the slats between their side edges by being angled to the adjacent areas via bending edges, and light protection piping is provided on the slats which, when closed, rest on the surfaces of adjacent slats, wherein at least one of the slat sections lying between the slat edges and the webs of the slats with the openings on the upper sides of the slats is designed as a light-directing area in that it has a concave curvature in relation to the outside/top side of the slats and between the upper side edges and the Light-directing areas of the slats have surface or linear support areas for the light protection piping which are provided on the lower side edges of the slats located above.

In order to achieve good darkening even with slatted roller shutters when the slats are closed, so-called darkening roller shutters have been developed. The slats can be pivoted further into a vertical position in the closed position in which contact between adjacent slats is possible to close the light gaps, which is made possible by the web-like areas inclined from the plane of extension of the slat bodies, in which the openings for the passage of the lifting straps are provided.

Although this type of Venetian blind is effective for darkening rooms, the strong darkening inside the room, even when the slats are open, is often perceived as disturbing.

A blackout roller shutter of the type mentioned above is from the DE 10 2010 005054 A1 known.

It should be emphasized that the slats in at least one of the light-directing areas have a concave curvature in relation to the outside/top of the slats. The combination of the slat shape of at least one concavely curved light-directing area and the angled web for the openings of the lifting belts has proven to be a very effective measure for achieving good darkening with closed slats on the one hand and good room lighting with partially or fully open slats on the other.

Die definierten Auflagebereiche verbessern die Lichtdichtigkeit weiter. The defined contact areas further improve light tightness.

Die DE 23 61 460 A1 zeigt einen ähnlichen Abdunkelungsraffstore.The DE 23 61 460 A1 shows a similar black-out roller shutter.

The object of the present invention is to improve a known black-out Venetian blind in such a way that it enables an improved closed position. According to the invention, the object is achieved by a black-out Venetian blind of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the support areas are raised relative to the upper side edges and the light-directing areas adjoining there, and in that the support areas are formed on the upper sides by hump-like projections (24) which are arranged between one of the side edges of the slats and an adjoining light-directing area.

The arrangement of the support areas on a kind of hump-like projection improves the tension-free guidance of the lifting straps and allows a complete closing position to be achieved even by means of a conventional ladder cord suspension as part of the Turning mechanism of the black-out venetian blind, wherein it is further advantageous and therefore preferred that the side edges adjoining the hump-like projections are located below the light-directing areas on the other side of the hump-like projections. Depending on the design of the lifting mechanism, the webs can be arranged centrally or offset towards a side edge of the slats.

Depending on the context, the present application refers to side edges of the lamellae or lamellae edges, which means the same parts of the lamellae.

The solution according to the invention offers the surprising advantage that good room lighting can be achieved despite the bars having an inclination that is detrimental to good room lighting. In this way, a good compromise can be found in the conflicting objectives between good darkening when the curtain is closed and good room lighting when the curtain is open.

In order to promote the light-guiding properties, it can be provided that at least one of the light-guiding regions is formed with a matt-reflective surface and/or at least one of the light-guiding regions is formed with a specularly reflective surface.

The design according to which the webs are aligned to the two light-guiding areas via bending edges at an angle to the extension planes of the slats results in slats that are essentially Z-shaped in cross-section with light-guiding areas that are clearly delimited from the web-like area with the openings by the bending edges.

To improve the darkening, light protection piping is arranged on the slats, preferably on a side edge or in the area of such. These light protection piping can then be placed on the surface of an adjacent slat when closed.

The softer material of the light protection piping results in a particularly light-tight connection between adjacent slats.

In a possibly expedient development of the invention, the light-guiding areas can have surfaces with prismatic structures or rectilinear reflection surfaces in order to achieve a specific manner of introducing light into the interior of the room.

Further features, details and advantages of the invention emerge from the wording of the claims and from the embodiment described below with reference to the drawing. They show:

In Fig. 1 a darkening slat 10 is shown for use in the curtain of a darkening Venetian blind 100. The structure of the Venetian blind is not presented in detail, since it essentially corresponds to the state of the art, with a lifting drive with lifting belts being provided, which are guided through openings 12 in the slats 10 and fastened to a lower rail of the curtain. A turning mechanism for pivoting the slats between an open, ie essentially horizontal position of the slats, and a closed position in which the slats are arranged essentially vertically in their suspension, can be designed in any suitable manner known from the state of the art.

In order to allow the slats to lie against each other as light-tight as possible in the closed position of the slats without the lifting straps in the openings 12 hindering this pivoting, the openings for the lifting straps are arranged in centrally arranged webs 14 of the slats 10, which are arranged at an angle compared to the extension planes of the slats, so that in the closed position they are pivoted out of the vertical and accordingly the edges of the Openings 12 do not hinder the pivoting movement of the slat even when it is in a vertical position.

An den umgebördelten unteren Seitenkanten oder Rändern 16 der Lamellen 10 sind Lichtschutzkeder 18 aus einem elastisch verformbaren Material angebracht, die sich an Auflagebereiche 20 im Bereich der oberen Ränder 22 einer benachbarten Lamelle 10 anlegen, wenn die Lamellen in ihre Schließstellung verschwenkt werden (siehe hierzu insbesondere Fig. 2 a bis c).Light protection piping 18 made of an elastically deformable material is attached to the flanged lower side edges or edges 16 of the slats 10, which contact support areas 20 in the area of the upper edges 22 of an adjacent slat 10 when the slats are pivoted into their closed position (see in particular Fig. 2 a to c ).

The support areas 20 are formed on a hump-like projection 24 in the cross-sectional profile of the lamella 10.

Compared to the adjacent surface of the slat 10, the support areas 20 are thus raised, while the actual, flanged upper edge 22 of the slat, which is also referred to here as its upper side edge, closes the slat in a recessed position at the foot of the projection 24. This design allows the lifting straps in the closed position to pass between the light protection piping 18 and the support areas 20 on the one hand and the openings 12 in the webs on the other hand without a significant change in direction.

As can be clearly seen from the figures, the areas of the slats 10 adjoining the webs 14 are designed as light-guiding areas 26, 28 which have a concave shape with respect to the upper side (open position) or outer side (closed position), which is achieved by a correspondingly curved slat cross-section.

The concave outer surfaces/surfaces of the slats 10 lead to a light-conducting effect despite the webs 14 protruding in comparison to the surface of the slats, so that an improved light entry into the interior of the room is achieved when the slats are open. This is in Fig. 4 illustrated by different, schematically shown angles of incidence of light, where the dashed/dotted lines mark the outgoing light beam and the solid lines mark the incoming light beam.

Alternatively or in addition to the concave basic shape, the slats can also be designed with light-conducting surfaces on their upper/outer sides, which in certain The light can be reflected in a matt or mirror-like manner. Prismatic structures or straight reflection surfaces can be used for this purpose.

In addition to the measures already known from the state of the art to achieve a special light-tightness, such as the previously discussed light protection piping 18 on the lower slat edges 16 and the Z-shaped cross-section of the slats 10, a further special measure is provided for the webs 14 to be at an angle α to the horizontal, which is approximately 18° when the curtain is in the fully closed position (see Fig. 2 a to c ). With such a flat arrangement, the openings 12 can no longer be perceived by the eye even when looking horizontally at the closed curtain from the inside, which of course also applies to all openings 12 of the slats 10 located below the horizontal line of sight.

This effect occurs at angles of inclination α of less than 25° and is particularly effective at angles of less than or equal to 18°. Conversely, the flat arrangement of the webs 14 also means that flat sunlight can no longer penetrate through the gaps between the openings 12 and the lifting belts.

Fig. 2 a to c show the reflection behaviour of the light incident on the webs 14 at different angles of incidence. In the case that the reflected light hits the light protection piping 18, which occurs at an angle of incidence between the Fig. 2 b and 2 c If the angle of incidence shown is the case, the light-proof piping 18 on the support areas 20 of the underlying slats 10 prevent the penetration of direct sunlight.

The penetration of directly reflected sunlight, which can cause particularly strong glare, is effectively prevented even when the slats 10 are partially open.

If the slats 10 are only opened a small gap, as in Fig. 5 illustrated, ie the light protection piping 18 is only slightly raised from the support areas 20, under unfavourable circumstances with very steep sunlight this can be reflected through the gap so to speak behind the slats 10 above, but it then hits the webs 14 of these slats, which reflect it steeply downwards, where it then hits the hump-like projection 24 in front of the recessed upper slat edge 22, so that direct reflection into the interior of the room is prevented. This effect is also immediately due to the special, flat inclination with respect to the horizontal of the webs 14 of the slats 10.

However, when the blind is opened a crack, diffuse light can penetrate through the crack and provide a certain minimum brightness, for example to be able to safely take a seat in the room.

With a medium open inclination position of the slats 10, which in Fig. 3 a and b with an inclination of the slats of approximately 45°, the incident light is only reflected into the interior of the room at very flat angles of incidence, possibly by multiple reflection between adjacent slats, while the steeper, direct rays of sunlight, promoted by the concave curvature of the light-directing areas 26, 28, are in turn reflected outwards in order to avoid glare.

In the Fig. 4 In the open blind position shown, i.e. with the slats in an essentially horizontal position with the blind extended, the slats 10 reflect part of the direct light into the interior of the room, but the light is reflected steeply upwards towards the ceiling thanks to the concave curvature of the slats 10, so that direct glare is avoided while at the same time the room is well illuminated with the available daylight.
