Abstract

The invention relates to a heating element which is particularly suitable for use in an electronic cigarette. The heating element comprising at least one carrier material of glass or glass ceramic and metallic Heizleitererstrukturen, wherein the Heizleiterstrukturen are applied to the substrate and the support material has a thermal conductivity <2 W / K * m, a heat capacity <1000 J / K * kg and a roughness R a <500 nm.
