Description

The invention relates to a training device for the training of at least one extremity, in particular for use in rehabilitation and / or fitness, with a support frame and a Kreisbahnerzeuger which is rotatably mounted on a support frame associated with the axis of rotation, and a limb support for storage and / or support the at least one extremity, wherein the circular path generator is associated with an axis of rotation for the rotatable mounting of a rotator, the extremity support being associated with the rotator, preferably eccentric to the axis of rotation, and the trajectory of the limb support being described by an ellipse, which is formed by a superposition of the circular motion of the Kreisbahnerzeugers and the rotator.

For targeted training of individual muscle parts of the extremities often different movement patterns are required. In a bicycle ergometer, for example, circular movements are performed to strengthen the leg muscles. In a cross trainer, on the other hand, the typical running motion is simulated and the movement of the legs follows an elliptical path. In a rowing ergometer, in turn, the legs perform a linear motion. Equipment that are provided for the execution of the individual movements, so are already well known from the prior art. The problem, however, is that for the execution of each movement form each have a separate device must be maintained, which in addition to a high space requirement also requires a high use of resources. In addition, there is often the problem in a pure linear motion that the movement pattern is not fluid and the reversal point is always a dead center. Also, a targeted variation of the orientation of the trajectory can not be performed in the aforementioned exercise equipment.

Such a training device is for example from the US 6,334,836 B1 is a training device known that allows different patterns of movement. By adjusting the position of the footrests, it is in the US 6,334,836 B1 For example, it is possible to change the shape and orientation of the movement patterns. However, this adjustment is possible only in a very limited area and thus limits the range of application of the training device.

From the DE 33 46 139 A1 a pedal drive is known in particular for a bicycle, in which the otherwise conventional rotational movement of the pedal crank is converted into an elliptical translational movement. However, it is not possible to change the size and orientation of this curved path.

The WO 2006/011812 A1 and the WO 2006/004430 A2 each show training devices in which the orientation of the movement patterns are each adjusted by a very complex mechanical structure can. So takes place in the WO 2006/011812 A1 the adjustment of the orientation of the movement pattern by a motorized adjustment of a sun gear, which changes the orientation of the rotator and thus the orientation of the resulting movement pattern. Also at the WO 2006/004430 A2 the adjustment of the orientation of the movement pattern by a rotation of the sun gear, which must be adjusted either by motor or by a lever. In addition to the complex mechanical structure, it has also been shown to be disadvantageous that each specialist personnel is necessary for this adjustment, so that an adjustment of the training device by the user of the training device can be made difficult.

The invention has for its object to develop a training device with which the possibility of variation of the training is increased and at the same time easy to use.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a training device of the type mentioned above in that the rotator is realized by a disc, which are assigned to a plurality of concentric circles arranged holes for receiving the extremity support, for varying the semi-axes of the ellipse and / or their orientation ,

The arrangement of the holes on concentric circles, which have different radii, different forms of movement can be realized. If the limb support is attached as an extension of the axis of rotation, the elliptical orbit becomes a circular path. The farther the limb support is from the axis of rotation, the more the elliptical orbit translates. However, since it is still an ellipse, one remains get round motion shape, which serves the ease of use. By the described arrangement, a very compact design of the training device can be achieved. In addition, the extremity support can be mounted differently on the rotator, whereby different movement patterns can be realized, in particular, the position and size of the semi-axes of the ellipse can be varied, which leads to the training of different muscle groups. In addition, the training device according to the invention replaces several conventional training devices, which in addition to a reduced space requirement also brings cost advantages.

For the invention, it is also advantageous if a coupling of the rotator is provided with the support frame for deriving the rotation of the rotator from the circular path of the circular blade generator. This ensures that upon rotation of the circular blade generator, a rotation of the rotator takes place about the axis of rotation, whereby the superposition of the two circular paths is carried out to form an elliptical orbit.

It is also advantageous for the invention if the support frame rotatably a Ableitungsrad and the rotator rotatably associated with a drive wheel, and if the Ableitungsrad and the drive wheel via a chain, a belt or the like are coupled together. This has the advantage that the coupling is very susceptible to interference, which benefits the reliability of the training device according to the invention.

For the ease of use of the exercise device according to the invention, it is also advantageous if different radii are assigned to form a Unter- or translation the Ableitungsrad and the drive wheel. This results in that the training device can be targeted to the athlete or patient.

For the exercise device according to the invention, it has proved to be advantageous if the supporting frame is arranged concentric with the axis of rotation housing sleeve, and if the axis of rotation is associated with a traction sheave, which is preferably formed integrally with the rotator, for coupling the rotator with the support frame by conditioning the Traction sheave to the housing sleeve. This low-wear type of coupling between rotator and support frame requires a reduction of maintenance and thus serves the ease of use of the training device according to the invention.

To be particularly favorable, it has been shown that the distance between the axis of rotation and the extremity support for determining the size of the half axis of the ellipse and the angle between the axis of rotation / axis of rotation and axis of rotation / extremity support for aligning the half axes of the ellipse are adjustable. As a result, the training device can be adjusted according to the needs and wishes of the exerciser or the patient, which serves the versatility and ease of use of the training device.

For use, inter alia, in the field of rehabilitation, especially in patients who have a cross section of the spinal cord, it has proven to be beneficial if a motor is provided for driving the rotation axis. This has the advantage that even patients with limited or nonexistent motor skills can specifically train the muscles of their extremities.

For the ease of use of the training device, it has proven to be particularly advantageous if the mounted on the axis of rotation unit is provided in duplicate and is combined to form a first pair for use by a first limb pair. This ensures that a pair of extremities can be trained together, which increases the training effect and also has physiological benefits.

For the invention it is also advantageous if the phase shift between the two Kreisbahnerzeugern is adjustable. This allows a variety of training options of the patient or the trainee.

In addition, for a wide range of applications, it has been found useful to have a second pair of units for use by a second pair of extremities. This ensures that in addition to training the arms, for example, at the same time a training of the legs can take place.

In addition, it has also shown to be favorable when the first pair and the second pair are coupled together. As a result, for example, in a patient with a spinal cord injury in the cervical spine and the resulting immobility of all four extremities, they can be trained with just one motor. On the other hand, the movement of the one extremity pair can be supported by the movement of the second extremity pair.

For the training device, it has also proved to be particularly advantageous if the angle and the distance between the first pair and the second pair are variable. This allows the training device to adapt to the particular physiology of the patient or the trainee.

For ease of use, it has also proved to be advantageous if slots are formed in the disc for receiving the limb support. By using oblong holes, the shape of the ellipse and its orientation can be varied very finely.

It is particularly favorable for the exercise device according to the invention, when the distance of the limb support to the axis of rotation and the orientation of the rotator relative to the Kreisbahnerzeuger by the rotator associated locking and / or screw are freely selectable. This makes it possible to adapt the shape and the orientation of the movements to the needs of the patient.

For the invention, it has also proven to be advantageous if the rotator is realized as a connector which can be fastened differently orientable by predetermined locking positions on the axis of rotation, and the at least three receiving positions are assigned for receiving the limb support, whose distances from the axis of rotation are different , to the variation of the semiaxes of the ellipse. This has a positive influence on the user-friendliness of the training device according to the invention.

FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of a training device 1. It can be seen in the illustrated embodiment, a support frame 2 of the training device 1 and the attachment of a Kreisbahnerzeugers 3 at an axis of rotation 4. eccentric to the axis of rotation 4 is mounted on the Kreisbahnerzeuger 3 a rotator 5 on a rotation axis 6. In this embodiment, the coupling between the support frame 2 and the rotator 5 is realized by a traction sheave 7, which runs on a housing sleeve 8 upon rotation of the circular blade generator 3. The housing sleeve 8 is rotatably fixed for this purpose on the support frame 2 and coaxial with the axis of rotation 4. For better coupling, a rubber ring 9 is applied in the embodiment shown on the traction sheave 7 on the outer peripheral side, which is provided for engagement with the housing sleeve 8. Of course, it is also conceivable that the coupling takes place without this rubber ring 9. It is also conceivable within the scope of the training device 1 according to the invention that the traction sheave 7 is formed integrally with the rotator 5. In the illustrated embodiment, the rotator 5 is realized as a disc 10, the elongated holes 11 for receiving an extremity support 12 has. Through the elongated holes 11, which may differ in number and exact embodiment of the embodiment shown, a variety of movement patterns can be realized. It should also be pointed out that the extremity support 12 can also be attached in axial extension to the rotation axis 6. In this case, which is not shown, the limb support 12 would describe a pure circular path.

FIG. 2 shows a detailed view of another training device 1 with an alternative coupling between the rotator 5 and the support frame 2. It can be seen here that the coupling between the rotator 5 and the support frame 2 by the use of a Ableitungsrades 13, which rotatably connected to the support frame 2 is, and a drive wheel 14 which is rotatably connected to the rotator 5 via the rotation axis 6 is realized. For coupling the Ableitungsrad 13 and the drive wheel 14 are connected by a belt 15 with each other. In this case, the belt 15 may be formed differently depending on the embodiment of the discharge wheel 13 and the drive wheel 14. For example, the use of a combination of gears and a chain is conceivable. The circular track generator 3 is designed in two parts in the illustrated embodiment. This has the advantage that the two parts of the circular blade generator 3 can be shifted against each other to tension the belt 15, which connects the discharge wheel 13 and the drive wheel 14 with each other. The rotator 5 is designed in the embodiment shown as a frame 16 and has a frame long hole 17, at which by the use of suitable locking and / or screw 18, the rotation axis 6 and the Extremity support 12 can be attached. This attachment is made so that the polar coordinates and thus the trajectory of the extremity support 12 are freely adjustable. In the illustrated embodiment, the training device 1 two attached to the axis of rotation 4 units 19 are assigned, each consisting of a Kreisbahnerzeuger 3 with a coupled to the support frame 2 rotator 5 and an extremity support 12, are formed. The phase shift between the two circular guillotines 3 shown is 0 °, but can be adjusted. Since, in the embodiment shown, the angles between the rotation axis 4 / rotation axis 6 and the rotation axis 6 / limb support 12 are different for the two units 19, the orientation of resulting ellipses of the limb supports 12 is also different. It is also conceivable within the scope of the training device 1 according to the invention that a motor 22 is provided for driving the axis of rotation 4. This is preferably in the support frame 2 and is not visible in the figure.

FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of a rotator 5 of the exercise device according to the invention 1. In this case, the rotator 5 is formed as a disc 10 which is fixed on the axis of rotation 6. The disc 10 has holes 20 for receiving the extremity support 12. It should be noted that the holes 20 are at different radial distance from the axis of rotation 6. As a result, the shape of the trajectory of the extremity support 12 can be determined. If the limb support 12 is located coaxially to the axis of rotation 6, the limb support 12 performs a pure circular movement, similar to a bicycle ergometer. If the limb support 12 is offset radially outward from the axis of rotation 6, the trajectory of the limb support 12 assumes an elliptical shape which, as the distance between the limb support 12 and the axis of rotation 6, increases into a linear shape but always maintains its elliptical character. This has the advantage that always a round movement is guaranteed. In the embodiment shown, the holes 20 for receiving the limb support 12 are arranged on concentric circles. Thereby, the orientation of the trajectory of the limb support 12 can be varied without changing the elliptical shape. Within the scope of the training device 1 according to the invention, it is also conceivable to use elongated holes 11 instead of holes 20. In the illustrated embodiment, the phase shift between the two Kreisbahnerern 3 is 180 °, but can also be varied.

FIG. 4 shows a further embodiment of the rotator 5 of a training device 1. It can be seen that the rotator 5 is realized as a connector 21 which can be plugged onto the rotation axis 6 under different orientations. As a result, different orientations of the ellipses of the extremity supports 12 can be realized. The length of the semi-axes of the ellipses can be changed by attaching the limb support 12 to the connector 21 at predetermined positions, whose distance from the axis of rotation 6 determines the resulting trajectory of the limb support 12. As in the embodiments presented above, the resulting trajectory of the extremity support 12 is determined by its distance from the axis of rotation 6. Again, it should be noted that it is always an ellipse in the movement regardless of the distance between the axis of rotation 6 and limb support 12, which always allows a round movement and avoids a dead center at the reversal points. In the illustrated embodiment, the two Kreisbahnerzeuger 3 are phase-shifted by 180 ° to each other. You can also see that the orientation and the distances to the respective axis of rotation 6 are different for the two extremity supports 12 shown. Although not very useful in everyday use, this leads to the variety of adjustment possibilities of the training device 1 according to the invention in mind.

It should therefore be noted that the training device 1 of the invention offers a variety of settings. In the following, the functionality is again based on the in FIG. 2 illustrated embodiment will be explained. Here, two units 19 are arranged in pairs. The phase shift between the two circular webs 3, which is 0 ° in the illustrated embodiment, can be adjusted by a different attachment of the circular webbing generator 3 on the axis of rotation 4. The trajectory of the individual limb support 12 can be changed individually. For this reason, the limb support 12 is attached to a latching and / or screw connector 18, which is attached to a frame long hole 17 of a frame 16 freely slidably. The closer the extremity support 12 is attached to the axis of rotation 6, the more the trajectory thereof is similar to a circular movement. For a pure circular movement, the limb support 12 can be fastened to the rotator 5 in extension to the axis of rotation 6. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the trajectories of the two limb supports 12 have approximately the same shape. Since the distance of the extremity support 12 to the respective axis of rotation 6 is quite large, the movements are characterized by an almost linear but still elliptical character. In addition, the two elliptical paths are offset by approximately 90 ° to each other. This orientation is determined by the angle between the axis of rotation 4 / axis of rotation 6 and the axis of rotation 6 / extremity support 12, which can be varied freely in the embodiment shown.
