Definitions

  • the invention relates to a folding box for cigarettes or other objects with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a folding box with reliable closing protection of the lid, which allows for special designs of the lid and can be produced economically with the help of powerful packers.
  • the folding box according to the invention with the features of claim 1 or alternatively with the features of claim 7 is formed.
  • the cooperating with the holding or clicking tab counter-flap is connected to a folding flap of the lid, such that the counter-flap passes through folding steps in the production of the folding box in the operative position with a focus on the holding or clicking tab support or counter edge.
  • the counter-tab is attached to the free, outer edge of the lid front wall.
  • the counter-tab is connected via a pivotable connection or residual connection with the lid front wall, such that by a simple folding step the counter-tab can be pivoted into the operative position, namely on the inside of the lid front wall, with which the counter-tab preferably connected by glue is.
  • the relative position of the counter-flap is selected so that a supporting edge of the counter-flap cooperates in the closed position or in the opening and closing movement of the lid with the click-tab.
  • the counter-tab is connected in the region of a rectilinear portion of the lid edge with this to form a flap fold line.
  • the support edge is arranged as a counter-member for the click tab in the active area thereof, preferably parallel to the opposite edge of the click tab.

  • the counter-tab is preferably provided with a punch opening which forms a support edge for the click tab.
  • Another special feature is the preparation of a blank with click tab and counterflap for the production of the pack.
  • the blank is transported with longitudinal alignment, lying with the lid edge or the counter-flap in the conveying direction at the front.
  • the click tab is folded or prefolded during a brief standstill phase, namely with a corresponding relative position of the blank by folding movement downwards.
  • the counter-tab can be folded in the area of the blank web or in transverse transport of the blank by a folding turret with a vertical axis of rotation during the rotational movement by stationary folding organs.
  • the prepared so far blank is then processed in a conventional manner for the production of a folding box.
  • a folding box for cigarettes is shown in the drawings.
  • the contents of the pack are accordingly a block-shaped cigarette block 10, that is to say a group of cigarettes which is surrounded by an inner blank 11 made of tinfoil, paper or the like.
  • the pack designed as a folding box consists of a box part 12 and a lid 13. The latter is pivotally connected to the box part 12 via a rear, transverse line joint 14.
  • the cover 13 is therefore between a closed position ( Fig. 2 . Fig. 20 ) and an open position ( Fig. 3 . Fig. 21 ) movable.

  • lid corner tabs for cutting include corner tabs, namely bottom corner tabs 29, the system received on the inside of the bottom wall 18.
  • lid corner tabs 30 are formed in the continuation or extension of the (inner) lid side tabs 27 . These are delimited by an angular punch cut 31 of the end wall 21 and the outer lid side tabs 26 and lie - in the finished package - on the inside of the end wall 21st
  • the examples shown are folding boxes without a collar with a slip-on lid 13, which in the closed position comprises an upper region of the box part 12 ( Fig. 2 . Fig. 4 . Fig. 8 . Fig. 13 . Fig. 20 . Fig. 26 ).
  • the cover front wall 22 is formed in one layer with a freely selectable contour of a front cover edge 32.
  • the cover edge 32 is arc-shaped at least in a partial region, for example symmetrically with respect to a (imaginary) longitudinal median plane (FIG. Fig. 1 to Fig. 3 ) or with lateral bow area ( FIGS. 7 to 9 ).
  • the lid edge 32 may be polygonal. In any case, at least a portion of the lid edge 32 is rectilinear.
  • the box part 12 extends at least in the front region approximately over the full height of the cigarette block 10. This is especially true for the box front wall 17, the upper edge - box edge 34 - (approximately) with an upper End face of the cigarette block 10 is flush.
  • the box edge 34 forms a recess or recess 35 of the box front wall 17. In the present case, this is off-centered or offset towards an edge and serves to facilitate removal of the package contents (after removal of a flap in the region of the front side of the inner envelope) 11).
  • the (upper) box edge 34 is arc-shaped, as a paragraph-free continuation of the box edge 34 from the front area to the line joint 14 on the package back.
  • the (inner) side tabs 25 and the (inner) lid side tabs 27 are separated for this purpose by an arcuate punching line in continuation of the line joint 14.
  • the arcuate punching is formed so that at the ends residual compounds are formed, which are severed when first opening the package or the lid and thus form a security feature against unauthorized opening.
  • the pack is provided with a closing aid for the cover 13. This consists of organs on the box part 12 on the one hand and on the lid 13 on the other.
  • a foldable tab - click tab 36 - attached In the area of the box edge 34 is a foldable tab - click tab 36 - attached, which projects beyond the cigarette block 10 in the initial position.
  • the click tab 36 is guided along a fold line 40 running transversely or horizontally in the region of the box edge 34 against the outside of the box front wall 17 or into an inclined position (FIG. Fig. 4, Fig. 5 ) foldable.
  • the click tab 36 cooperates with a counter-member on the cover 13. It is a folding tab - counter tab 37 - on the inside of the lid front wall 22.
  • the counter tab 37 is opposite to the click tab 36 - offset from the center of the pack - arranged.
  • the counter-tab 37 is formed so that a support edge 38 is formed, at which the click tab 36 at least temporarily - during the opening operation of the lid 13 - system receives with a downward facing edge 39th
  • the counter-tab 37 is connected to the lid edge 32 of the lid front wall 22 (in one piece).
  • the course of the lid edge 32 is designed for this purpose in a special way.
  • the lid front wall 22 is tongue-like with at least one (laterally lying) straight section 41. According to Fig. 1 the lid front wall 22 is formed symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal center of the blank, so with rectilinear sections 41 on both sides and a central circular edge - bow edge 45 -.
  • the sections 41 go directly (rectilinearly) into oblique edges 33 of the trapezoidal cover side tabs 26.
  • the counter-tab 37 is connected in the region of a portion 41 with the lid front wall 22.
  • the connection is formed as a fold line, namely as a flap fold line 42.
  • the counter-tab 37 is folded until it rests against the inside of the lid front wall 22 (fixed by means of glue).
  • the section 41 and correspondingly the flap fold line 42 are formed in this example with a significantly shorter length than the lid edge 32nd
  • the counter-tab 37 has a special contour, such that after folding ( Fig. 2
  • the counter-tab 37 is formed in the transverse direction with a larger dimension than the length of the flap folding line 42.
  • a cutout 43 is formed.
  • Adjacent to the lid edge 32, the counter-tab 37 is provided with a shape adapted to the contour of the lid edge 32, in the present case with a round edge 44. This is after folding of the counter-flap 37 of the lid edge 32 faces and lies parallel to this, preferably with a small distance ( Fig. 2, Fig. 3 ), so that a supernatant of the counter-flap 37 is avoided even when tilted.
  • the closing aid is designed so that a distance is formed between the interacting members, namely the supporting edge 38 and the counter edge 39 ( Fig. 2 . Fig. 4 ).
  • the distance is initially overcome until the edges 38, 39 meet ( Fig. 5 ).
  • the support edge 38 takes on the inside of the lid front wall 22, the exposed click tab 36 with up to an open position accordingly Fig. 6 , The click tab 36 is directed almost across the box front wall 17.
  • the click tab 36 is in the starting position ( Fig. 4 ) returned by the movement of the lid front wall 22nd
  • the folding process of the package is, in essential steps, conventional technique, namely the manufacture of folding box type packages.
  • the (unfolded) blank is glued in selected areas
  • a special feature are glue points 46 on the inside of the lid front wall 22, namely in the present four glue points 46 offset from the center for fixing the counter-flap 37th Die in Fig. 1
  • Leim points 46 marked by partial lines are located on the inside and the glue points 47 shown on the entire surface are on the outside of the blank.
  • the lid front wall 22 is also formed with a rounded contour or a rounded lid edge 32. This consists of a first, lateral edge of the sheet 48 and opposite another, smaller sheet edge 49. The sheet edges 48, 49 are connected by a straight section 50 with each other.
  • the lid front wall 22 is formed as a whole tongue-shaped, but asymmetrical with respect to a median plane. The sheet edges 48, 49 each go over a kink in the oblique edges of the lid side tabs. These are - as in the preceding embodiment - trapezoidal, but with different size or dimension in the longitudinal direction of the blank.
  • a counter-tab 37 is connected to the lid front wall 22. This results in free cuts 43 on both sides of the counter-flap 37.
  • a flap folding line 42 is formed, which runs correspondingly obliquely, that is to say at an acute angle to the longitudinal orientation of the blank.
  • the counter-tab 37 is formed in this embodiment so that in the folded position on the inside of the lid front wall 22 (FIG. Fig. 8, Fig. 9 ) substantially the full width of the lid front wall 22 is covered.
  • the sheet edges 48, 49 are associated with round edges 51, 52 of the counter-flap 37, such that these edges 51, 52 extend in the folded position along the sheet edges 48, 49, preferably at a slight distance (inwardly set back) for the reasons described.
  • the support edge 38 extends in the present case over the full length of the counter-tab 37. This makes it possible, the flap folding line offset - seen in the longitudinal axis of the blank - to arrange the click tab 36. In this example as well, a distance between the mutually associated edges 38, 39 is given when the cover 13 is closed. Glue points 46 are arranged according to the particular contour of the counter-flap 37 on the inside of the lid front wall 22.
  • the described packing form with "click effect" in the region of the lid 13 can also be used in so-called round edge packs (US Pat. Fig. 10 ) and octagonal packages ( Fig. 11 ) are used analogously.
  • the upright packing edges are according to Fig. 10 as round edges 66 and as bevelled edges 67 (FIG. Fig. 11 ) educated.
  • the counter-tabs 37 are analogous to the two embodiments Fig. 1 respectively. Fig. 7 educated.
  • the respective flap fold line 42 is located completely outside the region of the round edges 66 or the oblique edges 67.
  • the lid front wall 22 may be formed with a lid edge 32 consisting of straight sections (polygonal).
  • a lid edge 32 consisting of straight sections (polygonal).
  • the in the FIGS. 12 and 13 the embodiment shown is not part of the present invention, since the flap fold line in the region of the transverse section 54 does not extend at an acute angle to the opposite edge 39.
  • lateral rectilinear edge portions 53 are formed in continuation of the oblique edges of the lid side flaps. These run to a - also rectilinear - transverse section 54, in the area of the flap folding line 42 is mounted.
  • the lid edge 32 accordingly consists exclusively of straight sections, in this case in a symmetrical arrangement with respect to the center line.
  • the counter-tab 37 is designed to match.
  • the support edge 38 is transverse, parallel to the transverse portion 54 and the flap folding line 42. This leads to a folded position of the counter-flap 37 with a transverse folding edge (flap fold line 42) and obliquely directed edge legs 55 parallel to the also obliquely directed edge portions 53, also here with a distance.
  • the cover front wall 22 is characterized in the closed position by a transverse, double-layered folding edge ( Fig. 13 ), preferably centrally, alternatively offset laterally, analogously to the example according to Fig. 7 ,
  • the click tab 36 is folded in a first folding step or prefolded. This is expediently lying in the longitudinal transport at the rear side.
  • the click tab 36 is (partially) folded, due to the relative position of the blank (with the inside up or exposed) down or to the bottom of the blank web 56. This takes place in the Embodiment of Fig. 17 in a first folding station 57.
  • the blank web 56 is provided with a support, in the present case with a track plate 58 for cutting.
  • the track plate has a recess 68 in the region of the fold of the click tab 36.
  • a folding member is attached, in the present case a pivotable folding lever 59 which, during the stoppage phase of the blank, folds down the click tab 36 ( Fig. 16 ) in a transverse position, substantially at 90 ° to the plane of the blank.

  • the driver 60 or push lever is moved by a coupling gear 61 so that the detected on the back blank is transported by a predetermined movement section and thereafter Conveyor rollers 62 can be detected for further transport.
  • the driver 60 is designed so that the blank is detected correctly in the area of the complex edge contour for onward transport.
  • the driver 60 is present fork-shaped ( Fig. 17 ), such that the blank is detected on the one hand in the region of the (prefolded) click tab 36 and on the other hand in the region of the recess 35.
  • the blank is - after pre-folding of the click tab 36 - fed to a folding turret, preferably in the embodiment according to U.S. 4,084,393 ,
  • the folding turret is rotatable about a vertical axis with radially directed horizontal pockets.
  • the blank is folded at the end of the blank web 56 with simultaneous erection of folding tabs.
  • the further folding steps are carried out in the area of the folding turret.
  • Fig. 18 shows the situation in the completion of the pack by folding the click tab 36 in the final position.
  • the lid 13 has already been completed, which is brought by guide or folding organs, in this case by stationary guide rails 63, 64 during the rotational movement of the folding turret in the closed position.
  • the pre-folded, directed in an inclined position click tab 36 through the lid 13 and the lid front wall 22 in the end position (corresponding to the closed position of the pack) is brought.
  • the pack is completed.
  • the counter-tab 37 is expediently provided with a guide edge 65 which, when unfolded, has a transverse edge (FIG. Fig. 1 ). This is especially useful if due to the geometric design of the counter-flap 37, a free corner would arise.
  • the leading edge 65 also forms a stop edge when the unfolded with respect to the counter-flap 37 blank is transported against a stop, for example at the end of a blank web.
  • the transverse leading edge 65 can be attached to all versions of the counter-tab 37.
  • the counter-tab 37 is attached to another, special position of the blank, namely on a free side edge of a lid corner flap 30.
  • the counter-tab 37 is along a fold line 73 - in continuation of a free side edge of the blank - connected to the lid corner flaps 30.
  • the counter-tab 37 extends into the region of the (outer) cover side flap 26 while receiving the continuous contour of the cover edge 32 as a continued oblique edge 69.
  • the counter-tab 37 is provided with a recess or punch opening 70 as an elongated opening approximately parallel to the side edges of the blank.
  • the punched opening 70 is substantially trapezoidal in shape with a leading edge 71 opposite and parallel to the support edge 38 and with a larger longitudinal dimension than this. This produces obliquely directed side edges 77.
  • the counter-tab 37 is folded in the production of the package, so the folding of the blank, due to successive, simple folding steps in the position on the inside of the lid front wall.
  • the counter-tab 37 is fixed by means of glue, in the present case by (four) glue spots 74, which are arranged outside the area of the punched openings 70 on the inside of the lid front wall 22 in the correct position.
  • the present substantially trapezoidal formed counter-tab 37 is positioned on the lid front wall 22 so that the punch opening 70 and the support edge 38 is transverse or parallel to the opposite edge 39 of the click tab 36.
  • the coordinated dimensions are chosen so that a base length X, ie the length of the fold line 40 of the click tab 36, is greater than a length Y of the support edge 38. This in turn is slightly longer than the counter edge 39th
  • the punched opening 70 with the supporting edge 38 is arranged such that the folding leg formed by the click tab 36 lies outside, specifically above the punched opening 70.
  • the folding leg 36 first slides along the inside of the lid front wall 22 or along the free side of the counter-flap 37. Due to the material tension, the click tab 36 enters the recess formed by the punch opening 70. Due to the relative positions, the opposing edge 39 of the tab 36 temporarily receives contact with the supporting edge 38 of the cover 13 (FIG. Fig. 27 ). Upon further movement of this mutual engagement is canceled until finally cover 13 and click tab 36 are completely separated from each other (position according to Fig. 3 ). At the exit of the click tab 36 from the punch opening 70 or at the separation of the support edge 38, a "click" sound is generated.

  • the described glue spots 74, 75 are placed on the unfolded blank ( Fig. 22 ) applied by glue nozzles on the inside.
  • a first folding step is completed.
  • Bottom wall 18, box front wall 17, side flaps 24 and bottom corner flaps 29 are folded into an upright, right-angled position to the box rear wall 19 (FIG. Fig. 22 , below).
  • the side tabs 25, the lid side tabs 27 and the associated with these lid corner flaps 30 are erected.
  • This folding step is effected in a packer for folding boxes in the region of a folding turret with pockets open at the top by introducing a blank by means of a pressure member or punch.
  • the remaining folding tabs of the lid 13 initially remain unfolded, so that the cigarette block 10 can slide over the open lid side in the partially folded box part 12.
  • the lid corner tabs 30 are folded, namely against the corresponding surface (end face) of the cigarette block 10.
