Also well known are devices in the form of ATMs that allow for a cash payment of a cash amount, usually the cash payment is made to the person who is also the account holder.
- DE 10 2005 050 605 A1 proposes a method and a system for the transaction and payment of a cash amount at an ATM.
- the transaction of the amount of money takes place from an account of a person who is also account holder, to any ATM, where this person gets paid on a successful release of the cash payment the amount of money.
- the transaction and activation of the amount of money is carried out via online banking or telephone banking via appropriate communication connections.
- the account holder establishes an online and / or telephone connection to a device which can be designed as a service computer or server in order to carry out a transaction or
- the account holder transfers data via the online or telephone connection to the service computer, which in particular provides information about the customer account and the amount to be transferred or disbursed.
- the account holder can then effect the payment of the cash amount at an ATM connected to the service computer by identifying himself at this ATM, for example by means of his bank card, and / or by authenticating him / her by querying biometric data or the like.

- the first person A has a
- Mobile communication terminal MA in particular to receive notifications from the service computer SRV. Registration is now performed as follows:
- the first person A enters in a first step (a) at least one's own telecommunications number APN in the terminal TRM.
- the telecommunication number represents the first person's own mobile number A, such as e.g. the number sequence "004917011 " dar.
- the number sequence "004917011 " dar.
- Access number MCPIN which is assigned to the respective person and which is requested for registration.
- the access number MCPIN is a Personal Identification or a PIN code and is for example "1234.” This code authorizes the person A to use the transaction service, both of which are then transmitted from the terminal TRM to the service computer SRV, for example via a conventional one
- these input data are processed by the service computer and entered for registration REG of the person A in the database connected to the service computer DG or with local data adjusted.
- person A is a customer of a bank and has an account there.

- the method MCM begins with a first step (1), in which the first person A sends from his mobile phone MA, a short message SMS to the server SRV, this message, the mobile number of the recipient BPN and an indication of the height of the amount of money to be transferred AOM contains. For example, the mobile number BPN is "004917022 " and the amount to be transferred is, for example, 150.
- the server SRV is now caused to start a transaction, in a second step (2) the server sends first one
- Confirmation message CNF back to the first person A. This is also done as part of a short message SMS message. With this notification, the first person A is requested to notify the necessary access code MCPIN or to input at their terminal. This message is then in the next step (3) via the short message service SMS. For example, that is
- the first person A is requested by the system to confirm the transaction, which CNF message could be, for example: "Please confirm the 150 Euro money order for the telephone number.
- the server SRV recognizes that the first person A is authorized to use the transaction service and in step (4) initiates the sending of a transaction number TAN to the first person A.
- This transaction number For example, TAN is "6969" and may also be communicated via the SMS service, or alternatively, the first person may already have a list of transaction numbers (see iTANL in FIG.
- the server SRV now sends to the second person B, that is to the recipient, a notification containing both a general information INF and the amount of money AOM.
- the general information INF informs the receiver B that he can dispose of the amount determined by the sender A and the amount of money at a certain
- the message you sent in step 5 might say, "You can spend $ 150 on XY Bank ATMs.”
- the recipient B in order for the recipient B to actually have the amount of money, he also needs the transaction number TAN. This he receives from the person A, for example, in a step (6) by notification by phone, by email or preferably also by SMS. The recipient B is then able to withdraw at a certain ATM or any ATM the amount envisaged. For this purpose, the receiver B only has to visit the ATM and there in a step (7) enter his mobile number BPN and the transaction number TAN on the local keyboard (PIN pad). Thus, the release and payment of the amount can be effected very quickly and easily. A card reader is also not required.
- the user or recipient also enters and / or retrieves the mobile number BPN and the transaction number TAN on his mobile telephone and then, for example. a Bluetooth interface to the ATM or the system will be sent. This can e.g. also via an SMS notification to the server
- the receiver B would only rely on his mobile phone MB carry.
- An input on a keyboard of the ATM ATM or even the execution of a query menu or the like could be omitted and at the ATM ATM could even be dispensed display and / or keyboard.
- the proposed approach is particularly suitable for fraud attempts effectively Prevent, in particular fraud attempts by skimming or card fraud or by phishing or online monitoring of characteristics.
- the recipient B does not have to have an account.
- this list can also consist of number pairs.
- the list may have the following pairs of numbers (see also Fig. 1): "2134-1112", “6969-3409” and "2938-1223"
- the system requests the bank customer A to use, for example, the TAN pair listed under the index or regulatory number "53", ie the TAN pair "6969-3409". Both TANs are for a transaction where the digit combination "6969" of the first person A (for the beginning of the transaction) and the second digit combination "3409" of the second person B (for the
- the bank customer in this case the first person A, first sends a short message SMS to the server SRV in order to confirm the start of the transaction with the first part of the pair of digits, ie with the digit sequence "6969.”
- the server SRV in turn confirms then by SMS message, if the transaction number was correct, and then the first part of the transaction number pair, in this example the digit string "3409", can be communicated to the money receiver, ie person B.
- this person B is requested to enter this number sequence "3409" or to send via SMS or Bluetooth.
- the transaction can be canceled by the account holder or person A.
- the person A simply sends another message, eg as an SMS, to the service computer SRV, which contains the corresponding transaction number and a special character assigned to it, eg "# 6969".
- Server SRV then immediately reverses this transaction, optionally noting either one or just one or both
- the method described here as well as the service computer and the system are particularly suitable for being able to carry out a fast and secure transaction as well as payment of cash only with the aid of SMS messages. So the people involved only need a cell phone to handle the described
