Durch den Einleger 5 ist der Anzeige- und/oder Bedienbereich des Kochfelds 1 spezifiziert. Dazu sind unterhalb des Einlegers 5 eine oder mehrere Lichtquellen, insbesondere Leuchtdioden, angeordnet.
