Abstract

The method and appliance for producing filter cigarettes with multiple-constituent filters involve separate stores and conveyor tracks. One conveyor track is formed of five conveyor drums (1,7,9,14,17) for twice dividing filter-tips (2) six times the useful length taken from a separate store (3). The filter tips (6) twice the useful length are stacked behind each other and divided into single filter stoppers (13) which are inserted between the tobacco bars. The other conveyor track is formed by six conveyor drums (29,36,38,43,46,48) for twice diving filter tips (34) of four times the useful length and taken from another separate store (32).
