Description

The invention relates to a wiper device for wiping surfaces to be cleaned, in particular floor surfaces, having the features of the preamble of claim 1. A part of the wiper device that is essential to the invention is also the mop cover holder with handling handle.

Wiper devices of the type in question have been known for decades, they are used extensively in the professional field. Wiper devices of the type in question must therefore be very convenient and easy to handle. As the margins of companies in the professional sector are low, any cost savings are welcomed.

The subject matter of the present invention is a wiper device which is used in particular for the wet cleaning of surfaces to be cleaned. Such areas are particularly expensive to clean, if a high disinfection performance must be achieved, for example in patient rooms of hospitals.

A wiper device designed as a flat wiper device ( DE 29 14 230 A1 ) has a mop holder, on which usually via a gimbal joint, occasionally via a simple pivot joint, a stem sleeve is pivotally mounted, in which a more or less long handle handle can be used. The mop cover itself is designed as an elongated-rectangular plate or as an elongated rectangular wire frame.

Letztere lassen eine einfachere Anbringung des flächigen Wischbezugs zu ( DE 29 14 230 A1 ).One knows both mop cover holder with a fixed holder or with a fixed wire frame as well as those with centrally hinged plate or, about centrally hinged wire frame and corresponding controls. The latter allow a simpler attachment of the flat mop cover ( DE 29 14 230 A1 ).

On the mop cover holder, a mop cover matching the mop cover holder and consisting of textile or textile-like material is fastened, which is called flat mop cover. This attachment is solvable because the mop cover must be squeezed in the meantime and washed from time to time.

The cleaning quality of surfaces to be cleaned is basically dependent on the residual moisture. In practice, it has been shown that an amount of about 11.0 g of cleaning fluid per m 2 of a Kunststoffbelages is appropriate. At this level of humidity, the pigment protection is no longer mobile, but increasingly adheres to the cleaning active side of the mop cover. The wet mop cover emits cleaning liquid when the pads are over-wiped and in return picks up dirt particles.

The moisture release from the mop cover to the surface to be cleaned is not well controlled. In practice, with the still very wet mop cover in the middle of the surface piece to be cleaned, a wet track of the cleaning liquid is applied and then this excess is distributed with a pivoting wiping action on the surface piece to be cleaned.

In order to be able to transfer a sufficient amount of the cleaning liquid from the storage bucket to the surface to be cleaned, the mop cover must have a certain absorption capacity and retention capacity for cleaning liquid. In practice, mops have a weight of about 180 g for flat wiping devices with an area of about 400 mm x 100 mm. Despite this relatively large weight, a classic flat mop cover is hardly able to absorb more than about 50 ml of cleaning liquid, if it has been previously dehydrated only by pressing. Slip-damped flat mop covers, on the other hand, are able to absorb approx. 150 mm of cleaning liquid.

In hospitals and other areas where it is important to avoid any countermeasures, two flat wet flat mop covers are used. With the first mop cover serving as a cleaning liquid disinfectant solution is washed, then with a second centrifugally moist mop cover after-dried. This process is costly because two wiping operations are required and, as a result, twice the amount of mop covers to be washed is obtained.

In order to increase the capacity for cleaning fluid in both directions, ie both the order of the cleaning liquid on the surface to be cleaned and the drying of cleaning liquid from the surface to be cleaned, it has already been proposed in practice to perform the mop cover in several layers and with a kind Storage area to provide. This makes the mop cover even more complex in construction and of course much more expensive to manufacture. The effect in practice is still low.

A known device for applying liquids to surfaces ( US-A-2,261,411 ) can also be used as a wiper device for wiping surfaces to be cleaned, in particular floor surfaces. This device, from which the invention proceeds, has the features of the preamble of claim 1.

If one uses the aforementioned known device as a wiper device for wiping surfaces to be cleaned, in particular floor surfaces, a reservoir for cleaning fluid is integrated in the mop cover holder. When the mop cover with mop cover is immersed in the storage bucket, the cleaning liquid can automatically enter the hollow chamber with cleaning liquid and be held therein after closing a ventilation opening until the mop cover has been placed on the surface piece to be cleaned. If wetting of the surface to be cleaned wears off, the ventilation opening can be temporarily opened, so that cleaning liquid can run on the mop cover and the surface to be cleaned. One can thus achieve a fairly accurate control of the degree of moistening of the surface to be cleaned.

Here, the mop cover holder with the hollow chamber therein takes over the transport of the cleaning liquid to the place of work. The mop cover itself is responsible only for the distribution of the cleaning liquid on the surface to be cleaned and for the dirt pickup.

There are already quite significant advantages achieved with such a wiper device. Due to the fact that the cleaning liquid is transported by means of the mop cover holder itself, the mop cover can be freed from the design features that have previously determined the capacity for cleaning cleaning liquid. Larger loops, fringes, shaggy etc. can be largely eliminated. For the same size, the weight of the dry mop cover decreases from approx. 180 g to approx. 50 g. This is a significant material savings. The washing costs for dirty mops are much lower.

Furthermore, the use of cleaning fluid on the surface to be cleaned is more economically controllable than before.

The operation of the known, previously explained wiper device is not optimal in practice. The teaching is therefore based on the problem, the previously described wiper device in such a way and further develop that it is more effective in practice. According to be designed also a mop cover holder for such a wiper device.

The aforementioned object is achieved according to the invention in a wiper device with the features of the preamble of claim 1 by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

According to the invention, the opening and closing of the ventilation opening can be effected by means of a kind of remote control. This is advantageous in terms of operation and is particularly expedient for the professional field of cleaning surfaces.

The invention relates to a wiper device for wiping surfaces to be cleaned, especially of floor surfaces, colloquially referred to as a floor wiper. Such wiping devices are also used for other surfaces to be cleaned. A special field of application of such wiping devices are rooms also in particular to be disinfected facilities, such as hospitals.

In the Fig. 1 The wiper device shown in the overview initially has an elongate mop cover holder 1. This forms a downwardly directed wiping side and one of these approximately opposite, here laterally inclined thereto aligned upper side. On the mop head holder 1 is mounted on the upper side, preferably with a simple or gimbal swivel joint 2 for mop holder 1 through a handle sleeve 3. Used in the handle sleeve 3 or integrated with the handle sleeve 3 shows Fig. 1 a handling handle 4. By means of the handling handle 4, you can lead the mop holder 1 in any case in the realization of a gimbal swivel joint 2 in almost any relative position over the surface to be cleaned.

The illustrated embodiment shows only a simple, so a single pivot axis forming swivel joint 2, no gimbal swivel joint.

Fig. 1 This is usually made of textile or textile-like material, often a synthetic fiber fabric or a synthetic-cotton blended fabric with arranged on the cleaning surface and the edge fringes, knobs or loops to optimize the Cleaning effect. Occasionally, microfiber products are used here today.

The mop cover 5 can be attached to the mop cover holder 1 in different ways. With regard to the various fastening techniques will be explained below some.

Eine Alternative der Anordnung der Belüftungsöffnung 8 zeigt Fig. 5.The problem with known flat wiper devices has been explained in detail in the general part of the description. According to the invention, the function of receiving and transporting cleaning liquid is now assigned differently to the mop cover holder 1 itself. For this purpose, the invention provides that the mop cover holder 1 has a hollow chamber 6 for receiving a larger amount of cleaning liquid that can escape via at least one outlet opening 7 in the mop cover holder 1 attached to the mop cover holder 1 mop cover 5, and that the mop cover holder 1 also at least one vent opening. 8 has over the escape during filling of the hollow chamber 6 with cleaning liquid air from the hollow chamber 6 and 6 can flow air into the hollow chamber 6 during drainage of cleaning liquid from the hollow chamber 6. The cross section of the mop cover holder 1 with the hollow chamber 6 therein can be seen particularly well in the sections in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 , The ventilation opening 8 once open and closed once shows Fig. 2a and Fig. 3 , An alternative arrangement of the ventilation opening 8 shows Fig. 5 ,

As long as the ventilation opening 8 or the ventilation openings 8 is closed or closed, it is prevented that air flows into the hollow chamber 6. This prevents that cleaning fluid can escape to a considerable extent from the hollow chamber 6 on the mop cover 5.

The mop cover holder 1 with mop cover 5 located thereon is lowered with the vent opening 8 open into the storage bucket filled with cleaning liquid, while the mop cover 5 sucks with cleaning liquid fully and Cleaning liquid fills the hollow chamber 6 in the mop cover holder 1, since the air therein can escape through the vent opening 8. Following this, the ventilation opening 8 is closed. The wiper device is placed on the surface to be cleaned. Since the ventilation opening 8 is closed, hardly any cleaning liquid exits from the hollow chamber 6. Only the cleaning liquid stored in the mop cover 5 will drip down a little.

On the surface to be cleaned is first worked with the wet mop cover 5. With decreasing humidification of the surface, the ventilation opening 8 is opened and cleaning liquid can flow to the mop cover 5. Is enough cleaning liquid leaked out of the hollow chamber 6, the vent 8 is closed again, the flow of cleaning liquid on the mop cover 5 is interrupted. The cleaning liquid is distributed over another surface piece. This continues until the supply of cleaning fluid in the hollow chamber 6 has been used up. Then the cycle can repeat itself again.

The illustrated embodiment, moreover, shows an embodiment which is characterized in that the mop cover holder 1 has an approximately circular cross-section. Of course, in principle any cross section of the mop cover 1 is suitable. However, a circular cross-section or approximately circular cross-section is quite appropriate for handling purposes. In addition, such a hollow chamber 6 forming mop cover holder 1 can be particularly useful.

The illustrated embodiment shows the mop cover holder 1 as a tubular element, which practically forms the hollow chamber 6 in the interior of itself. The hollow chamber 6 is closed at the end by caps 9, which may be removable. With removed caps 9, the interior of the mop cover holder 1, so the hollow chamber 6, rinse and clean it.

Bodenseits, as shown, the mop cover holder 1 may be flattened to ensure a good adaptation to the surface to be cleaned.

Appropriately, a design that arranges the ventilation opening 8 on the mop cover holder 1 on the upper side in the manner shown.

In principle, it is possible to make the ventilation opening 8 closable and openable by hand, by means of a movable closure element 10. Fig. 5 shows such a construction with a ventilation opening 8 side of the pivot joint 2 of the handle sleeve 3, closed by means of a designed as a peelable and wiederaufsteckbarer closure strip closure element 10. Here, for example, a Velcro fastening may be provided. However, the closure element 10 may also be riveted, glued, clamped or otherwise mounted captive on the mop cover holder 1. Even a completely removable closure element 10 can be realized.

For the embodiment of the closure element 10, there are of course various alternatives, for example, the execution as a plug.

That in the Fig. 2 and 3 illustrated, preferred embodiment shows a closure element 10, which is designed as here elastic and bell-shaped cap. Thus, the ventilation opening 8 is rubber-like elastic closed, in such a way that lateral deviations are tolerated to a considerable extent.

Earlier it has been pointed out that the opening and closing of the ventilation opening 8 by hand is possible. For this purpose, however, an operator would have to reach into the storage bucket filled with cleaning liquid when filling the mop cover holder 1 and stoop constantly during further handling of the mop device. This is user-friendly unpleasant, almost unacceptable in the professional field. So you have to look for a way to allow the opening and closing of the vent 8 by means of a kind of remote control.

In the illustrated embodiment, it is now provided that the ventilation opening 8 is arranged in the region of the handle sleeve 3 and the closure element 10 is arranged on or in the handle sleeve 3 and is substantially perpendicular to the top of the mop cover holder 1 adjustable. Fig. 2 to 4 show it further that, according to a preferred embodiment in the handle sleeve 3 is already a bearing 11 is provided for the closure element 10. The handle sleeve 3 thus forms the appropriate storage location for the adjustable closure element 10 of the ventilation opening 8. Since the handle sleeve 3 may be part of the handling handle 4, this also applies accordingly for certain embodiments of handling handles 4 as such.

The above-described construction is the prerequisite for the closure element 10 to be adjustable by means of an adjusting mechanism 12 which is arranged on or, preferably, in the handling handle 4 and which can be fixed in a closed position of the closure element 10. The entire adjustment mechanism 12, including ultimately the closure element 10 may be attached to the outside of the handling handle 4 and extend along the handling handle 4 upwards in the area where you handle the handle 4 in operation. This one has a comfortable way to perform the opening and closing of the vent 8 without having to bend down. However, preferably also provided in the illustrated embodiment, the adjusting mechanism 12 is not disposed on the outside of the handle 4, but in the interior of the handling handle 4, which is designed to hollow introduced.

In particular, it is provided in the illustrated and preferred embodiment, as in Fig. 2 . Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 to recognize that the adjusting mechanism 12 has a arranged in or on the handling handle 4 control rod 13, which in any case in an advanced, the closure element 10 closing on the ventilation opening 8 holding the closed position is fixed.

In particular, it is provided here that the adjusting rod 13 can be actuated for fixing in a rotational movement about its own axis. Fig. 4 shows particularly well how the fixation is realized in the illustrated embodiment. The handling handle 4 is designed as a continuous hollow tube. However, this is processed in the field of handling the adjustment mechanism 12. It is namely provided that the upper end or an intermediate piece of the control rod 13 in an L-groove 14 in or on the handling handle 4 runs and the fixation is based on the principle of operation of a bayonet closure. In particular, it is provided here that the upper end or the intermediate piece of the control rod 13 is provided with a preferably designed as a bayonet covering sleeve manual actuating element 15.

When the closure element 10 is retracted and the ventilation opening 8 is open, the manual actuating element 15 can be pushed downwards in the direction of the mop cover holder 1, thereby guiding the control rod 13 downwards in the L-groove 14 until it reaches the angle of the L-groove 14. In this position, the closure element 10 has the ventilation opening 8 securely closed ( Fig. 3 ). This is achieved in the illustrated embodiment, in particular, because the bell-like, rubber-elastic construction of the closure element 10 allows a comparatively large path of the adjustment mechanism 12 from placing the closure element 10 to the end of the adjustment. In this position, the manual operating element 15, the rear end of the control rod 13 is rotated around the longitudinal axis of the handling handle 4 Mitnehmend. The end of the control rod 13 and a corresponding laterally projecting pin migrates into the extending on the circumference leg of the L-groove 14. Thus, the adjustment mechanism 12 is fixed in the advanced position. In the retracted position, the adjusting mechanism 12 fixes by the friction of the well-adapted manual actuating element 15 by itself.

The illustrated embodiment ( Fig. 2a . Fig. 3 ) shows, moreover, that here additionally the closure element 10 is biased by means of a spring element 12 'of the adjusting mechanism 12 in an open position. From the position of Fig. 2a becomes the position of Fig. 3 So by pushing down the control rod 13 against the action of the spring element 12 'reached. The return movement is supported by the spring element 12 '.

Not shown in the drawings, moreover, that not only at the lower end of the control rod 13, a bearing 11 is provided for the closure element 10, but that even in an upper region in the handling handle 4 yet another camp for the control rod 13 should be present.

An alternative, not shown, is also to let the adjustment mechanism 12, the closure element 10 only linearly. Then it would be necessary to be able to fix the closed position of the closure element 10 by a kind of latching. Techniques of this kind are known from ballpoint pens, may be referred to corresponding publications.

An alternative to the purely mechanically designed design of the adjustment mechanism 12 is also that the adjustment mechanism 12 has a arranged in or on the handling handle 4 hydraulic transmission path. In this case, one would have in the handling area of the handle 4, possibly at the end of the handling handle 4, a first transmission piston. At the bottom of the closure element 10 would have a second transmission piston. The space in between would be filled with fluid. By depressing the upper transmission piston whose movement would be transferred hydraulically to the lower transfer piston and thus to the closure element 10, the closure element 10 would be closed. Here, a fixation in the closed position and a spring element for returning the lower transmission piston should be provided.

Now that the considerations for the arrangement and closure of the ventilation opening 8 and the plurality of ventilation openings have been treated 8, the design and arrangement of the outlet opening 7 and the plurality of outlet openings 7 will be treated in the following. First, it is expedient to provide that the outlet opening 7 or the plurality of outlet openings 7 is or are arranged on the wiping side of the mop cover holder 1. This is ensured at mop cover 5 attached to the mop cover holder 1 that the outlet opening 7 and the plurality of outlet openings 7 are covered by the mop cover 5 attached to the mop cover holder 1.

The outlet opening 7 or the plurality of outlet openings 7 can simultaneously realize a fastening function for the mop cover 5. Then it can be provided that the mop cover 5 is provided with an insertable into the outlet opening 7 holding molding 16 or with the plurality of outlet openings 7 insertable retaining formations 16.

The illustrated and so far preferred embodiment further shows a special fastening technique for the mop cover 5 on the mop cover holder 1. In the prior art tabs or pockets are provided on the back of the flat mop cover. In a larger mop cover holder 1, which integrates the tank-like hollow chamber 6, you can not easily realize that. Regardless, the classic fastening techniques are of course also an alternative. In particular, a more recently proposed variant is interesting, the narrow, possibly elastic fastening strips realized ( DE 101 42 084.6 by the Applicant, the disclosure of which is incorporated by reference into the present disclosure).

However, the illustrated and preferred embodiment shows this, however, that the mop cover holder 1 has on the wiper side over its full length extending receiving groove 17 for a mounted on the mop cover 5 or formed strip-like holding molding 16. By means of the strip-like holding formation 16 of the mop cover 5 is inserted into the receiving groove 17 and pulled in and is fixed in its relative position to mop cover holder 1 ( Fig. 1 ; Fig. 2b ).

To form the retaining molding 16 on the mop cover 5, it is possible to provide that the retaining molding 16 on the mop cover 6 is a stitched strip of textile or textile-like material or a strip formed from the material of the mop cover 5 itself by folding and stitching.

The illustrated and preferred embodiment ( Fig.1 ) shows, moreover, that the mop cover 5 is designed as a substantially elongated-rectangular flat mop cover with approximately centrally extending holding molding 16. This flat mop cover can be made particularly light and simple, because he, as has been explained above, only the cleaning function and the dirt pickup function, but not the transport function for cleaning fluid.

The illustrated and preferred embodiment shows in section according to Fig. 2b a variant with the hollow chamber 6 towards the open receiving groove 17. Thus, the transition of cleaning fluid from the hollow chamber 6 in the mop cover 5 is ensured over a large area, however, suffers the controllability of the crossing of cleaning fluid in this variant. Fig. 2a shows therefore a preferred embodiment in which it is provided that the receiving groove 17 is closed to the hollow chamber 6 out. This is done by a projecting into the hollow chamber 6 hollow rail 18, the part of the mop cover holder 1 or is firmly attached thereto.

It could be provided that the receiving groove 17 is arranged or forming hollow rail 18. However, an alternative is also to provide the outlet opening 7 and the plurality of outlet openings 7 not in the region of the receiving groove 17, but laterally of the receiving groove 17 on the wiping side of the mop cover holder 1. This alternative is according to the embodiment Fig. 2a and Fig. 3 also shown.

The arrangement of a plurality of small outlet openings 7 laterally of the receiving groove 17 may have the advantage that the mop cover 5 is saturated uniformly and quickly with cleaning liquid in the area laterally of the strip-like holding molding 16. On the other hand, the infiltration of cleaning liquid directly into the strip-like holding formation 16 of the mop cover 5 possibly has the advantage that directly on the mop cover 5 still a certain memory function is used for cleaning fluid.

Damit hätte man gleich eine Führung für Befestigungselemente am Wischbezug 5.The illustrated embodiment can not recognize a variant in which the hollow rail 18 is not only designed as a straight U-rail, but is bent at the ends in front of the caps 9 to the top of the mop cover holder 1 out and pulled up. This would equal a guide for fasteners on the mop cover. 5

In the illustrated embodiment, it is provided that the mop cover 5 is provided on the end side, preferably on the retaining molding 16, with fastening elements 19 which can be fastened to fastening mating elements 20 on the mop cover holder 1. In detail, it is provided here that the fastening counter-elements 20 are arranged on the upper side of the mop cover holder 1, in which case the fastening counter-elements 20 are designed as retaining clips and the fastening elements 19 as strips with terminal holding knot o. The like.

With a somewhat elastic design of the mop cover 5 and the fasteners 19 can be achieved that the mop cover 5 can be optimally clamped to the mop holder 1 with the engaging in the receiving groove 17 and thus positively fixed to the mop holder 1 holding molding 16th

In detail, the following data have been found to be particularly useful for the dimensions of the wiper device. It is initially intended that the Mop cover holder 1 has a length of 300 to 500 mm, preferably of about 400 mm, and, preferably, a diameter of 30 to 50 mm, preferably of about 40 mm. When mop cover 5 is usually a substantially rectangular sheet, the wiper side may be formed, for example, velor-like. Specifically, it is recommended that the mop cover 5 has a format of about 80 mm x 300 mm to about 150 mm x 540 mm, preferably of about 100 mm x 460 mm.

Further, it is particularly useful, as shown in the drawing, that the mop cover 5 is slightly longer, preferably at the ends by 20 to 50 mm, in particular each about 35 mm longer than the mop cover holder 1. The mop cover holder 1 overhanging the Mop cover 5 are well suited for cleaning edges, baseboards and corners in the area to be cleaned.

It has already been explained in detail above that and why the teaching of the invention leads to the fact that it is possible to work with a much less complicated and lighter mop cover 5. Specifically, according to a preferred teaching that the mop cover 5 is made of textile or textile-like material with only a small liquid storage effect and a weight of about 40 g to 70 g, preferably of about 50 g at an area of about 100 mm x 460th mm, has.

An optimal design of the mop cover holder 1 and the mop cover 5 performs a mop cover holder of a length of about 400 mm with a mop cover in the format of about 100 mm x 460 mm with a weight of about 50 g of the mop cover 5 together.

It has already been pointed out above that the subject of the disclosure of the present application is the use of a variant with narrow, possibly elastic attachment strips ( DE 101 42 084.6 the applicant). These Variations are again taken up in the further claims 39 to 50 in detail, for which reference may be made to these claims.

Fig. 6 shows in the local embodiment that here the diameter of the hollow chamber 6 is discontinued end to a lesser extent. For example, the diameter of 40 mm in the central region of the hollow chamber 6 at the end to 30 mm offset. The settling here is realized stepwise, in principle, a chamfer is conceivable.

In the illustrated step-like deposition of the mop cover holder 1 is first placed laterally offset on the mop cover 5. By a counter-movement moves the tapered end of the hollow chamber 6, the fastening strip which forms the fastening element 19 on the mop cover 5, wherein a transfer to the central region of the hollow chamber 6 takes place. The fastening strip is thereby stretched. As soon as the opposite end of the hollow chamber 6 is in front of the other fastening element 19 on the mop cover 5, the hollow chamber 6 is moved in the opposite direction, so that the remote end region of smaller diameter occurs there. Now, the two fastening elements 19 designed as elastic fastening strips comprise the offset end regions of the hollow chamber 6, and the mop cover 5 is secured against slippage to the hollow chamber 6 of the mop cover holder.

According to the embodiment Fig. 7 Upper side projections are on the one hand provided as counter-elements 20, on the other hand as their own projections 21 spaced therefrom. Here, the respective elastic fastening element 19 between the elements 20, 21 snap in to fix the mop cover 5 to the hollow chamber 6 of the mop cover holder 1.

The invention also provides a mop cover holder 1 for a wiper device according to the invention as such having features which have been relevant to the mop cover holder 1 and described above.

The subject matter of the invention is also a mop cover 5 for a wiper device according to the invention as such having features which have previously been shown to be particularly interesting for the mop cover 5.
