Abstract
Ein Branderkennungsverfahren beruht auf der Auswertung der Streulichtsignale, die ein mit einem Streulichtsystem ausgestatteter Brandmelder unter zwei Streuwinkeln mißt. Ein Mikroprozessor in dem Brandmelder gewinnt aus den Streulichtsignalen durch Vergleich mit einer Alarmschwelle einen Alarmwert. Zur Erkennung der häufigsten Rauchtypen und insbesondere zur Auswertung von Mischbränden mit geringem Fehlalarmrisiko wird der Alarmwert in Abhängigkeit von dem Verhältnis der Streulichtsignale bestimmt. A fire detection method is based on the evaluation of the scattered light signals, which a fire detector equipped with a scattered light system measures under two scattering angles. A microprocessor in the fire detector obtains an alarm value from the scattered light signals by comparison with an alarm threshold. To identify the most common types of smoke and in particular to evaluate mixed fires with a low risk of false alarms, the alarm value is determined as a function of the ratio of the scattered light signals.
