Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Sicherheits- und/oder Wertdokument gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.
Insbesondere Personaldokumente, Banknoten, Wertpapiere, Urkunden, Servicekarten, wie Kreditkarten oder dgl., Postwertzeichen, allgemein Erzeugnisse, die authorisiert sein müssen, sind oft in einem leicht nachzustellenden Verfahren herstellbar.
Es ist bei diesen Erzeugnissen wünschenswert, Merkmale einzubringen, die den Nachweis ihrer Echtheit, d.h. ihrer Originalität ermöglichen.
Die Sicherheitsmerkmale sollten möglichst untrennbar mit dem zu authorisierenden Erzeugnis verbunden sein und/oder Eigenschaften aufweisen, die schwer zu reproduzieren sind:
Die Herstellung und die Anwendung von Sicherheitsmerkmalen bei Sicherheits- und/oder Wertpapieren sind allgemeiner Stand der Technik.
Es ist eine Vielzahl von Sicherheitsmerkmalen bekannt, wie fluoreszierende Fasern/Planchetten/Farben, Mikroschriften, moiree-erzeugende Strukturen, Hologramme und dgl..
Als Sicherheitsmerkmal werden in das zu schützende Erzeugnis häufig Spezialfarben mit spektralen Besonderheiten oder mit magnetischen Eigenschaften oder mit Temperaturabhängigkeiten (thermochrome Farben) eingebracht. Es werden Barcode eingesetzt, bei denen die Reflektivitätsunterschiede der Oberfläche ausgenutzt wird, oder es werden Gitterstrukturen oder auch Folienantennen zur Ausnutzung der Resonanzfrequenz in einem Schwingkreis angewendet.
Aus der AU 488 652 sind Sicherheitsdokumente bekannt, bei denen Sicherheitsmerkmale mittels Durchlichtbetrachtung geprüft werden können. Zwischen Kunststoffbahnen ist ein optisch veränderliches Sicherheitselement angeordnet, welches über ein transparentes Fenster in der darüber liegenden Abdeckbahn betrachtet werden kann. Nachteilig ist es dabei insbesondere, daß die angebrachten Sicherheitsmerkmale nur im Durchlichtverfahren mit dem bloßen Auge sichtbar sind, und daß die Materialeigenschaften des Dokumentes stark verändert sind.
Es ist auch die Einbringung nur sines durchsichtigen Fensters in Banknoten als Sicherheitsmerkmal bekannt (australische Banknoten).
In der DE 43 34 847 A1 wird ein Wertdokument mit Fenster beschrieben, bei dem der Träger nachträglich mit einer fensterartigen Durchbrechung versehen ist, die mit einer transparenten Abdeckfolie verschlossen ist, wobei die Abdeckfolie in diesem Bereich des Fensters mit zusätzlichen Sicherheitsmerkmalen versehen ist. Die Herstellung der nachträglichen Durchbrechung des Trägers des Wertpapiers zu einem Fenster und die Abdeckung mit einer transparenten Abdeckfolie, die wiederum partiell mit einem Sicherheitsmerkmal versehen ist, ist technologisch aufwendig und hat eine Vergrößerung der Dicke des Wertpapiers zur Folge. Die Bedingung, daß Bereiche des Fensters transparent bleiben müssen, um mit bloßem Auge die Sicherheitsmerkmale im Durchlichtverfahren erkennen zu können, schränkt die Möglichkeiten verdeckt angeordneter Sicherheitsmerkmale ein. Dabei handelt es sich ebenso wie bei den bekannten Fensterfäden in Banknoten um Elemente, welche für sich genommen nur als Sicherheitselement eingesetzt werden, aber keine weitere Funktion übernehmen. Die bekannten Fenster können für sich alleine genommen auch Sicherheitsmerkmale beinhalten.
Die Echtheitsprüfung der bekannten Sicherheitsmerkmale erfordert in der Regel die Verwendung von speziellen Vorrichtungen, Verfahren und insbesondere von externen Prüfgeräten wie Lupen zur Überprüfung von Mikroschriften, Linsenraster zur Überprüfung von versteckten, grafischen Elementen, UV-Lampen zur Sichtbarmachung von Fluoreszenzen, oder im Durchlichtverfahren die optische Erkennbarkeit des Sicherheitsmerkmals.
In der DE 36 09 090 A1 ist ein Wertpapier mit darin eingelagertem Sicherheitsfaden beschrieben, der ohne technische Hilfsmittel visuell prüfbar ist. Der Sicherheitsfaden besteht aus einem transparenten Material. Auf einer Oberfläche ist ein Raster aus Zylinderlinsen eingeprägt. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Oberfläche der Folie des Fadens ist direkt ein Druckbild aufgebracht. Das Druckbild ist unter Berücksichtigung der optischen Eigenschaften der Zylinderlinsen gestaltet. Durch entsprechende Gestaltung des Druckbildes können damit Informationen eingebracht werden, die nur unter bestimmten Blickwinkeln sichtbar sind.
Nachteilig ist, daß direkt unter dem Faden Papier angeordnet ist, so daß das Sicherheitsmerkmal nur in Reflektion und nicht in Transmission betrachtet werden kann. Die Sicherheit liegt nur im Faden. Der Faden bildet ein übliches Sicherheitselement.
Das Dokument WO-A-98/15418 (Art. 54(3) und (4), EPÜ) offenbart ein Sicherheitsdokument mit einem Sicherheitsmerkmal und einem Verifikationselement zum Verifizieren des Sicherheitsmerkmales. Das Verifikationselement kann eine optische Linse, einen optischen Filter, einen Polarisator, oder ein Linienraster umfassen.
Das Dokument GB-A-2172850 offenbart ein Sicherheitsdokument in Form eines Buches, das an einer Stelle seines Umschlages eine transparente Stelle mit einem opaken Linienmuster aufweist, und bei dem innerhalb der Rückseite des Umschlages verschlüsselte Informationen aufgedruckt sind. Im geschlossenen Zustand des Buches kommt das Linienmuster über der verschlüsselten Information zu liegen und die Informationen sind durch das Linienmuster hindurch lesbar.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein gattungsgemäßes Sicherheits- und/oder Wertdokument zu entwickeln, bei dem die Sicherheit gegen Fälschung erhöht und die vereinfachte Prüfung der Dokumentenechtheit ohne externe Hilfsmittel gewährleistet sind.
Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe ergibt sich aus den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1.
Durch die Beibringung von Sicherheitsmerkmalen und Verifikationsmitteln wie Detektoren zum Verifizieren der Sicherheitsmerkmale auf oder in einem Dokument wird erreicht, daß keine externen Hilfsmittel zur Überprüfung der Echtheit des Dokuments benötigt werden. Es kann die Authentizität von zum Beispiel auf einer Banknote befindlichen Sicherheitsmerkmalen durch zum Beispiel mit einem oder mit mehreren transparenten Fenstern auf derselben Banknote überprüft werden. Die Kombination von Sicherheitsmerkmalen und eines Verifikationssystems auf derselben Banknote erhöht deren Fälschungssicherheit, da das Verifikationssystem gleichfalls zu einem Sicherheitsmerkmal ausgestaltet werden kann. Zur Überprüfung der Echtheit können die Schau- und Rückseite der Banknote verwendet werden. Durch geeignete Faltung der Banknote oder eines beliebigen anderen Dokumentes, welches nach der Vorschrift der Erfindung ausgebildet ist, oder durch Übereinanderlegen mehrerer Banknoten, kann ein Sicherheitsmerkmal überprüft werden, indem das Sicherheitsmerkmal mit dem Verifikationssystem, z.B. Fenster, in Wirkung zueinander gebracht wird.
Es können mit dem auf das wertdokument aufgebrachten Verifikationselement an verschiedenen Stellen des Dokuments eingebrachte Sicherheitsmerkmale überprüft werden.
In einem Reisepaß können zum Beispiel zwei gegenüberliegende Seiten zur Verifikation des Dokumentes dienen. Dazu kann eine Seite mit dem Verifikationselement partiell oder ganzflächig, die andere Seite mit dem zu analysierenden Sicherheitsmerkmal, versehen sein. Durch geeignetes Übereinanderlegen wird die Echtheit überprüft. Ebenso können zwei Banknoten, Schecks oder zwei andere gleichartig ausgebildete Wertdokumente auf Echtheit überprüft werden.
Entscheidend ist die Funktionalität des oder der in das Dokument integrierten Fenster. Es wird im wesentlichen keine zusätzliche Dicke des Dokumentes erzeugt, da die Detektionsmittel und die Sicherheitsmerkmale auf einem Dokument an unterschiedlichen Stellen angeordnet sind und nicht übereinander.
Die vorzugsweise Ausbildung des Verifikationselementes als ein Detektor/Analysator oder auch Decoder in Form eines oder mehrerer transparenter Fenster oder auch eines Fensters mit mehreren Analysator-Bereichen mit Detektionselementen gewährleistet eine Vielfalt von Varianten zur Überprüfung der Echtheit einer Vielzahl von möglichen Sicherheitsmerkmalen.
Die Verifikationselemente auf/in einem oder auf/in mehreren Fenstern oder in Bereichen eines Fensters sind vorzugsweise aus einem klaren, transparenten Material gebildet.
Das Fenster ist als Interferenz filter ausgebildet (transparente Beugungsstrukturen, Multilayer-Systeme).
Das transparente Fenster wird als holografisches Filter ausgebildet, das einen engen Spektralbereich reflektiert, entweder
  • analog zu holografischen Laserschutzbrillen oder
  • eine Mischfarbe erscheint in einer anderen Farbe,
  • eine reine Spektralfarbe verschwindet.
Ein solches Filter ist auch für zwei klare Fenster geeignet, wobei das Verifikationsfenster in einen holografischen und einen nichtfilternden nebeneinanderliegenden Teil aufgeteilt sein kann.
Weitere vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen.
Die Erfindung ist nachfolgend anhand von in den Zeichnungen dargestellten Ausführungsbeispielen einer Banknote als ein Wertdokument näher erläutert. Es zeigen:

Entsprechend der Darstellung in der Fig. 1 ist ein Wertdokument, z.B. eine Banknote 1, mit einem transparenten Fenster 2 ausgebildet, welches durch die Ausstattung mit Verifikationselementen als Detektor oder dgl. eingesetzt wird, um ein Sicherheitsmerkmal in einem Bereich 3 der Banknote 1 zu verifizieren. Die Verifizierung des Sicherheitsmerkmals im Bereich 3 der Banknote 1 erfolgt z.B. durch das Übereinanderlegen der beiden Bereiche 2 und 3.
Für viele Verifikationseffekte ist es wünschenswert, einfach und schnell zwei verschiedenartige Verifikationselemente über das Sicherheitsmerkmal zu bringen. Dies erleichtert oft die Wahrnehmung einer Veränderung im Fall von Bewegungs- oder Farbumschlageffekten. Es erleichtert die Verifikation in Fällen, bei denen eine Drehung des Verifikationselementes relativ zum Sicherheitsmerkmal erforderlich wird. Eine solche Drehung wäre bei einem einzigen Verifikationsfenster 2 sehr unpraktisch. Es werden zur Behebung dieser Probleme die Aufteilung des Verifikationsfensters 2 in zwei nebeneinanderliegende Analysatorbereiche (Fig. 2,3 oder die Anordnung von zwei nebeneinanderliegenden Fenstern 2 (Fig.4) mit unterschiedlichen Verifikationselementen vorgeschlagen.
Bei einer weiteren Ausführungsform des/der Verifikationselemente im Fenster 2 der Banknote 1 sind Interferenz filter, allgemein transparente Beugungsstrukturen, Multilayer-Systeme, eingesetzt.
Die Interferenz filter sind in/auf einem vorzugsweise transparentem Folien-Material gebildet oder bestehen aus diesem Material. Die Filter sind auf beispielsweise einer Banknote 1 im Bereich 2 in Kombination mit einem farbigen grafischen Element im Bereich 3 integriert. Durch geeignetes Übereinanderlegen der Bereiche 2, 3 der Banknote 1 wird ein bestimmter Spektralbereich im grafischen Element, z.B. Schrift, durch den Bereich 2 ausgeblendet oder durchgelassen, so daß ein von der Originalfarbe abweichender Farbeindruck entsteht.
Alle Fenster können in einer beliebigen Form, vorzugsweise in einer Form, die der Art des gewählten Verifikationselementes am besten entspricht, so auch fadenförmig oder, wie in der Fig. 5 gezeigt ist, dreieckig, ausgebildet sein.
Die Fenster können an beliebigen Stellen des Dokumentes, so auch an einer Ecke des Dokumentes, wie in der Fig. 5 beispielhaft gezeigt ist, ausgebildet sein, sie müssen nur die Bedingung erfüllen, daß Sicherheitsmerkmale und Verifikationselemente zum Verifizieren des Sicherheitsmerkmals in eine Wirkverbindung zueinander gebracht werden können, zum Beispiel durch Falten, Verdrillen, Übereinanderlegen eines oder mehrerer Dokumente.
Das Übereinanderlegen kann im direkten Kontakt oder in einigen Fällen auch in einem Abstand zwischen dem Sicherheitsmerkmal und dem Verifikationselement erfolgen.

Claims (4)

  1. Sicherheits- und/oder Wertdokument mit einem Sicherheitsmerkmal und mit einem Verifikationselement zum Verifizieren des Sicherheitsmerkmals, wobei das Sicherheitsmerkmal (3) und das Verifikationselement (2) an unterschiedlichen Stellen in das Dokument (1) integriert sind, wobei das Verifikationselement (2) und das Sicherheitselement (3) erst zum Verifizieren übereinander gebracht werden, und wobei das Verifikationselement durch mindestens ein Fenster gebildet ist, das als Verifikationsmittel ein Interferenzfilter, ein Hologramm oder ein holografisches Filter enthält.
  2. Sicherheits- und/oder Wertdokument nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Sicherheitsmerkmal (3) auf der Vorder- und/oder Rückseite ausgebildet ist.
  3. Sicherheits- und/oder Wertdokument nach Anspruch 2, wobei das Sicherheitsmerkmal (3) durch ein Fenster gebildet ist.
  4. Sicherheits- und/oder Wertdokument nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Verifikationselement (2) und das Sicherheitsmerkmal (3) des Dokumentes (1) durch Falten des Dokumentes (1) zum Verifizieren des Sicherheitsmerkmals (3) übereinander gebracht und in dieser Wirkverbindung maschinell erkennbar sind.
