Abstract

A security and/or value document is disclosed, especially a bank note, comprising security features and a verification element for verifying the security feature. The stated aim is to develop a generic security and/or value document which offers greater protection against counterfeiting and makes it easier to verify document authenticity without external aids. To this end, at least one verification element (2) and at least one security feature (3) verifiable by means of said verification element (2) is integrated into the document (1) at various points. The verification element (2) and the security element (3) are placed on top of each for verification only.
